Description of 1940 Ford Ford GT |
1940 Ford Fordor Sedan...this car has a clear Ohio title in my name. What you see is what you get. I have no other parts. Rolls freely. Was a project car back in the late '70 when the car was stripped of yellow paint other than the doors. The car was running and drivable then. Car was sold and sat outside for years and created the rust that you currently see. The body is pitted but pretty solid. Sometime in the '60's the car was used for drag racing...hence the 4" holes in the front fenders beneath both headlights for ducting. It has a 327 Chevy engine aluminum power glide transmission and a '56 Chevy rear end with dual leaf springs. 1940 Ford drum brakes on the front. Also has 1940 Ford unsplit wishbone on the front. The front floor needs patched on replaced. A new rear original style roll pan and a Mustang II power rack comes with the car. This car hasn't ran in years. Been kept inside for the last 10 years. No mistake this is a major project...but very doable. Please reference the pictures as your guide. One picture is my feeble attempt of cutting and taping together a photo of what I wanted to do to the car. |
