Description of 1965 Ford Mustang GT |
Hey folks, I have for sale my 1965 Ford Mustang A-Code Fastback GT project car. This was a dream of mine that I was not able to make a reality unfortunately. I have a clean title in hand, from California. This is a California car and was rescued from a barn several years ago and brought to its current home in Montana. This is the coveted A-Code GT body. I had stripped the car down to the body, blasted and primered it on a rotisserie, and then put some fenders, panels, and doors back on. This is as far as I got unfortunately. There are a lot of missing pieces to this beauty as far as random odds and ends, and will require a full restoration. Everything observed in the pictures is included in the purchase of this Mustang. I have a large assortment of parts I began to collect, some of which are original, some are new old stock, and some are Scott Drake reproductions. Again, everything pictured is included. There no additional parts for this Mustang (glass, interior panels and trim, etc). The California plates, period correct for this 1965 car, are authentic and not the modern recreations. The plates are registered to this vehicle and match the registration and title from California. The transmission pictured is a T-5 from a "Fox body" Mustang, which I obtained to convert the Mustang from a 4 speed to a 5 speed. The original engine was completely destroyed, seized, and rusted beyond salvaging, as was the transmission (they weren't kept in the barn with the body). There is NO engine with this vehicle, only the body and all pictured parts. The body of the vehicle itself is excellent! There is no rust in the typical areas, including floor pans and fender wells, and the frame is straight and true. It is on a "rolling" platform (random wheels slapped on) which are obviously not original. I am happy to answer any and all questions, just reach out to me. Dozens more pictures available on request. This is a no reserve auction! I do not offer any warranty whatsoever, the vehicle is sold with everything pictured AS IS, and I am not responsible for shipping whatsoever, but will allow the car to be shipped anywhere and I can assist with loading the car. Buyer owes a $500 deposit within 24 hours of purchase. Do not bid if you intend to "buy" and then inspect the car at a later date, only to cancel the sale. Thank you.
