Description of 1968 Ford F-100

Up for sale is this sweet 1968 Ford F100 with a strong 390 engine. The body is in excellent condition with no rust out, just some flash rust in a few spots. Few dings, one on the hood, drivers fender and a few dings here and there. Has most of its original paint. All glass is good, there are wiper streaks on the passenger side of the windshield. About half the trim is in good condition, the rest would need replacing if doing a restoration. Bumper and grill are in awesome condition, and headlight buckets have a few dings. Interior is super nice with brand new headliner and matching seat, which has been rebuilt as well with new springs and foam. Custom steering wheel and a new rubber floor mat. There is a rust hole in each footwell of the floor about the size of a half dollar with some heavy flash rust around them. I would replace the pans if I were completely restoring this, but it is fine the way it is as well. You can see the flash rust where the rubber mat ends. Heater works fine, turn signals work but do not cancel. No dash pad but I personally like the clean look. The engine has been removed and the heads taken off and the whole unit cleaned up of years of goop and grime. Engine was not rebuilt. New hoses belts and radiator were installed, then an Edelbrock Performer intake and ProForm 650 carb were installed. Next up was a pair of new headers and then stainless exhaust added. Truck sounds very very nice as exhaust exits out the side. It's been 2 years since all this work and the truck has developed a few small leaks as any old truck would. Transmission has been rebuilt by Aamco Transmission at the same time. Chassis has had nothing done to it except the addition of brand new Cragar rims and tires. Still has front drum brakes and stopping can get a little tricky at times. If you have driven a drum brake car/truck you know what I mean. This truck needs a disc brake conversion for the front and it will become the easiest truck you can drive. Rides very smooth. I have frequently driven this from Nampa to Boise Idaho with no problems. Truck is located in Nampa, 15 miles West of Boise. I think I got it all, but if you have any questions feel free to call or text me at 507-340-2744. Please do so daytime up until 7PM, no later as I get up very early. If I don't answer leave a message as I drive and can't answer the phone always. !968's are getting harder to find and this one is nice.
