Description of 1991 Ford Mustang LX Convertible |
I have bought and sold a few collector cars on eBay and have great feedback. My mantra is be honest so that any potential buyer understands exactly what they are getting. 1991 LX 5.0 convertible - I am officially the second owner of this vehicle. The original owner of this vehicle was a Dentist in Nebraska and he used the car as a Sunday driver. He owned it for many years. I bought the car from a dealer near Kansas City, MO in 2010 who had held it for a while.I do not remember if the dealer titled it or not.The vehicle is Burgundy in color and has approximately 31.800 miles on it. I originally bought this car when it had 29K miles on it and have owned it for 9 years. My intention was to keep this car forever and show it. This car is practically all original. It has had a repaint in order to freshen it up as the original paint was starting to have spots showing through. This car has an automatic transmission with the standard 2.73 rear end. There is no accident damage or door dings on this car. The good - This car is almost perfect. It is a show car with show car paint, interior, and everything. The engine bay is fairly clean. It is what you would expect for a low mileage car. The car still smells new.Almost everything works as it should! There is literally six things wrong with this car - 1) the key disengage button on the underside of the steering column was removed by the original owner 2) The gas tank gauge in the cluster has decided to no longer work 3) One of the tail pipes has a small bend to the end of it 4) The mufflers are shot and need replaced(only rust issue on the car)5) The A/C needs a recharge 6) So, other than the mufflers, there is some very, very minor surface rust on the underside of the car. I would judge the car as a # 1 once these six issues mentioned above are addressed. The value on fox body mustangs has started to increase and I have this car insured for $15K. I was going to list the car with a BIN price of $12,495.00. However, with the issues I mention above, I think a fair price should be more like $11,495.00. The reserve will be set somewhere close to that price. Please only bid on this car if you have the funds to purchase it and if you have 10 or more positive feedback's. I have the title in hand. If you buy the car from me once your funds have cleared my bank I will send the BOS and title to you. The care will be shipped at the buyers expense. I can help load out and I do know a good and honest broker that I usually ship my cars with. Please let me know what questions you have. Thank you for looking. I do not need help selling this vehicle nor am I interested in trades. I reserve the right to stop the auction as the car is for sale locally. |
