1969 Ford Mustang Mach-1 Solid Restoration Project

You are bidding on a 1969 Mustang Mach-1 basically a barn find car that has been in storage since 1985. Very solid project car will need to undergo a thorough restoration. 76,748 original miles. This mustang includes all of its original parts to complete, and quite a bit of new sheet metal parts. The new parts that are included are one pair of pool factory style quarter panels, one pair of outer wheel houses, and a pair of new doors skins. This car was dismantled for full restoration in the 80s and it was never completed. This mustang was originally equipped with a 351 Windsor 4-V engine and FMX automatic transmission. The original drivetrain is not included with the mustang however a good used, 49,000 mile 390 and C6 automatic transmission are included which were pulled out of a full-size Ford. (if you do not need the 390 or C6 transmission deduct 1000 from winning bid.) This Mach-1 mustang still retains its original color of candy apple red and has its original red mach-1 upholstery. This car was originally equipped with power steering and disc brakes. The original 9 inch rear end and the original disc brake spindles were removed many years ago a pair of good used disc brakes spindles are included however the Mustang currently has a six cylinder rear end bolted in, which should be replaced with an original 9 inch unit during restoration. Unfortunately, the original 9 inch rear end does not come with the car. This is an all original sheet metal car but will still need some rust repair. Very minor patching in the original floor pans which are extremely solid please see pics.The quarter panels can be fixed but should be replaced when restoring this car properly. The Torque boxes and all of the frame rails both front and rear are extremely solid. The trunk lid and front fenders are in excellent original condition and the hood is an original 1969 shaker style hood but this can be substituted for a brand new flat hood if desired. The winning bidder on the mustang will have a choice of hoods. Both doors are repairable but will need door skins which are included. We are a Mustang restoration facility and we've been restoring classic Mustangs since the mid-80s.
