Description of 1932 Ford Model B |
I bought this from an estate sale where the previous owner(s) had this car in their family since the early 60's. Possibly earlier. I have all the registration in their name from 1961. The male owner died in the early 80's and the car sat in a barn since then as his wife lived on. After she passed, the estate was in a holding period for a while and I bought this from that estate sale. The car was mildly modified in the time of that owner. I have added/changed nothing cosmetically/physically. The bumpers are not original, he added 1948 chevy tail lights and the headlight setup isn't stock. He also installed 1940 Ford juice brakes. The following is what I've done to the car to get it road worthy again; Flushed the radiator it's clean running all veins, fins are in great condition. Rebuilt the water pump.Rebuilt carb and fuel pump. Flushed and lined the original gas tank.New points, coil, battery, distributor cap, plugs and plug wires.Replaced head gasket with premium copper head gasket.I tested the generator under load and it's charging. The headlights, tail lights, and brake lights ALL FUNCTION. The headlight switch on the wheel works.Horn works.Replaced all glass. The rear window and side windows roll up and down.Upholstered the destroyed seat. The car came with Kelsey Hayes Racing wheels Stamped K-H.https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/kelsey-hayes-vs-ford.218172/New tires and tubesNew brake lines, shoes, and master cylinder. Car stops great!Registered current with clear CA title for a 1932 ford coupe. Starting the car. https://imgur.com/oYrdd9g The car driving. https://imgur.com/A90qh0A The car is rough paint-wise, with some surface rust. A lot of the original paint is coming off. One of the hood latches came off. Dents and dings on some of the fenders. A tear in the right rear. But it's all original Henry Ford. The original owner did some weird caulk action on the front window and roof vinyl. I wasn't able to get the DMV to title the car with the black plates. So it has new plates that are assigned to the car(I tried). Please feel free to check it out in person if you're around(Huntington Beach, CA). Or message questions... Why I'm selling; I paid a lot for this to own a real '32 that was in a bit of a time capsule condition. Probably over paid... I was going to drive it more or less like this. But my 2 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with a rare genetic disease that has no cure. Things like that take a lot of resources. So I'm selling this. |
