Description of 1985 Ford F-250

Hi there This is a full size 1985 3/4 Ton 4X4 Ford Supercab with a LWB. The paint on the bed is bad and there are a couple of dents. The Supercab is rather good sheet metal. it is not perfect. the passenger door needs a little body work. the fenders can be saved? I am told they are not the right year. the Front end works as do the brakes and the 4X4. the rear end works & has longer studs for duels this appears to be a little sturdier as new it was a duel tire unit and had a flatbed there is a 5th wheel mount welded in under the bed for a screw in 2-5/16 Ball (has one) it starts and runs. however the 460 engine smokes grey to much and needs some attention. the Tires are nearly new less than 500 miles on them the Clutch is new. has about 10 miles on it now. the wheels have been hand sanded and painted about2 years ago. this is good for a hunting rig with a camper or a firewood truck or you may haul a large trailer with the 5th wheel mount. you may wish to put a flatbed back on this and dress up the front sheet metal a bit. Hopefully you may be able to re-ring/&glazebreak the engine and do the heads or ask myself and I can advise you how to get a new engine for 1000. to 1500 you have to take it out and put it back yourself. I am older but have nearly 50 years of fixing and repairing cars and trucks. i am a friend of the owner and I have a signed notarized title in hand. as my friend got in trouble and I must pay his storage bills. There is a Chiltons book in the back seat comes with the truck. I am likely to part this out in April/May
