For sale is a 1954 Ford Skyliner. You can not build a car for this price!! I would not be afraid to drive this car from one coast of the United States clear to the other coast. It runs great, handles well. Comfortable ride, nice cruiser. It has proven time and again that it can sit in idle traffic and not overheat.Marine grade vinyl upholstery is super soft and supple. It was restored in the original pattern. Headliner was replaced when the car was redone and is stain free. It is hard to get a picture of headliner without glare, but the picture shows that the headliner is tight and without wrinkles. Carpet photo looks stained but that is shadow. Carpet is clean and stain free. All weather-stripping and rubber was replaced as part of the restoration.Engine is a carbureted with electric choke Ford 302 no modifications. Transmission is a Ford AOD. Will easily cruise at 75 MPH with the overdrive transmission. The suspension, brakes and related are all stock 1954 Ford. Gauges were converted to 12 volt. Fuel gauge works well, stock heat gauge has a bad sensor on engine. It has an aftermarket electric heat gauge that was much more accurate than the original so did not replace the sensor. Original radio was not converted to 12 volt. The car has a remote controlled AM/FM/ CD radio under the passenger seat and a 5 disc CD changer under the driver seat which is also remote controlled. Original heat and defrost is in good working condition. The car has passed and will still pass a NSRA safety 23 inspection. Tires were replaced with radials during restoration including the spare and are like new. Wheel covers are in excellent condition and are stock 1954 Ford. The glass-top is the original and is in better than average condition for an original. There is a small amount of hazing mostly behind the visors. There is a removable cover that can be put in place on the inside of the top that matches the headliner material. The professionally applied paint is nice, very minimal rock chips, no peeling, flaking, or fading. The body is straight. Car is always stored indoors when not in use. Bumpers were re-plated and many of the smaller trim items are replaced using Dennis Carpenter replacements. $2000.00 down payment is required with the rest of the money to be paid with in 7 days. We will help with loading for shipping but arranging the shipping is buyer's responsibility. Or you will need to pick up the car. The car is "as is, where is" and will be for sale locally so the auction could end at any time. Why am I selling? The car sees very little use. We want to use the money toward a mini motorhome.
