Description of 1934 Ford Other Rumble Seat

The 1934 Ford Cabriolet is perhaps the ideal body style for a rod. Sporty and compact, with roadster-like proportions, yet equipped with a weather-tight top and power windows, so it can go anywhere, any time. Finished in brilliant Viper Red and powered by a blistering 350 V8, this streetrod is a very special droptop. There's nothing subtle about this slick Viper Red rod, but that's entirely the point. Sure, the body is fiberglass, but the look is... timeless, and everywhere you go, folks recognize the appeal of the 1934 Ford. From the pointed radiator shell and sweeping fenders to the raked-back windshield and smoothly tapered rear deck and awesome rumble seat, there's something here that will appeal to everyone, and the fact that it's totally functional as a real car is something that most rods attempt, but not all achieve. Workmanship is quite good, and with fiberglass, it's easy to get great gaps and a solid feel, and with that bright red paint job, the shape simply speaks for itself. It features stock-style suicide doors with chrome handles, a custom grille insert in the pointed grille shell, and teardrop taillights that have been smoothly integrated into the rear fenders. Hood louvers add practicality and an old-school touch, and although the bumpers have been deleted for a smooth look, front bumper guards look like jack-posts and have indicators installed right below. Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, this cabriolet seems to offer a lot more interior space than the original, and it's used to great effect. A modern bench seat has been trimmed in elegant black vinyl, which flows brilliantly with the simple exterior. Matching door panels house power window switches, and the black instrument panel in the red dash was filled with Porsche-style VDO gauges that show-off a suitably sporty font. A few modern conveniences are included, such as heat, power windows, a tilt wheel, and a kickin' AM/FM/CD/AUX stereo that was artfully integrated into the interior. Overhead there's a matching black canvas folding convertible top that seals up better than any roadster, and a neatly-sealed lid hides a beautifully finished rumble seat that's been finished in black vinyl to match the cabin. There's a lot of shine under the hood, so prepare yourself in advance for the trophies you're sure to collect with this one. The engine is a lightly-cammed 350 Chevy topped by a Carter AFB 4-barrel carburetor, but the point isn't just horsepower, it's reliability and attention to detail, and this car delivers. The firewall is finished and painted red, and of course all the accessories are chrome-plated or polished, with a newer distributor cap for the HEI ignition system offering some contrast. A TH350 3-speed automatic with a shift-kit makes high-speed driving effortless, but you'll want to dip into the throttle now and then just to savor the sound of the custom-built dual exhaust system. The front suspension is polished, while the rear is a 4-link augmented with coilovers, so it's easy to handle with no surprises. The undercarriage is really dressed for show, with a painted frame and pans to offset the chrome components. Classic wire wheels wear a traditional big-n-little combination of 185/70/14 front and 235/75/15 rear Michelin blackwall radials. Always beautiful, this 1934 Ford also offers performance and practicality to go with its award-winning good looks. Call today!
