Description of 1968 Ford Other LTD

I bought this car in 2006 as I was moving to Memphis from Philadelphia. The car came from Washington state. Before that. I don't know. Except for the black vinyl top it was the twin brother of the family car that I learned to drive as a kid and took my driving test in. Can't let something like that pass by. So I bought it. moved to Memphis and quickly quit going to car shows. They just don't have good ones down here like they do up north. So the cars spent a lot of time sitting in the garage getting in the way and waiting for me to eventually bite the bullet and pass it on. I don't know much of the car's history before me. It's been repainted and it must have been a high end job. I wasn't sure until I had the front window replaced and saw something ( I forget what that clued me on to it). The interior is in excellent shape as shown in the pictures. The only thing I know of that was replaced is the back or the roof right between the back window and the rear window. The passenger side arm rest is a little torn up and repaired. The rug is green. I'm pretty sure it came brown. but I don't know. The trunk is in good shape with no rust. The lining is deteriorated a bit. I'll try and clean the leaves out before I sell it. The engine has obviously been touched up. Whether it came out for a rebuild or was just painted. I don't know. Since I've had the car. I've had some engine work done. It sat for so long without me starting it. the engine got kind of stuck and when I finally cranked it. some push rods got bent. That was corrected at great expense. There was some carburetor problem for a while. I had the original carb rebuilt by a pro. but didn't put it on for a while. When I did. the car didn't run too well ( those push rods). The shop ordered a new carb and got it running. but I had no accelerator pump. I finally got it running again with the original rebuilt carb. The brakes also had some issues. The symptom was a mushy brake pedal like when the master cylinder needs rebuilding--only it wasn't that. The shop replaced some lines and other parts and got it working. A little while after that the brakes started locking while I was driving along. The shop made an adjustment and now it's running without any issues. When I say running. I've driven it around the block a few times. Please don't come out here from California and expect to drive the car back with no incident. You may get back all right. but this car is almost 50 years old and I can't say for certain that all the above issues are gone for good. Questions email me or call 901 522- nine four three eight
