Description of 1977 Ford F-100 Custom |
Selling a 1977 F100 body swapped onto a 2005 Crown Victoria frame and drivetrain. This is a fully driving and running PROJECT. Family stuff has gone down, so I have to lend support and just can't focus any more time on it for a while. The truck was sought out from Georgia for its solid shape and good cab mounts. The car was purchased from Winchester Police Department so the histories on both of these are legit. The Crown Victoria brake pedal system and throttle by wire have been welded into the truck firewall for ease of installation and maintenance. The front is lowered another 2" with Eaton springs, the rear has H&R Shelby Mustang lowering springs. The purpose of the truck was to be road raced so a lot of attention was focused how the suspension was done. After I got it running it was taken to Delk Performance in Lebanon for tuning (I do have the tune saved on a thumb drive). All of the wiring is intact, so you can add whatever accessories back that you choose. The steering column was converted to a floor shift model because I was going to do a 6-Speed swap later on. If you keep it an automatic you will need to find a shifter solution that works for you. New exhaust has been done, it is running straight pipe 2 ½ turn downs at the rear axle. All of the crossmembers were professionally welded in by a professional. The interior is somewhat restored to period correct but with new seatbelts that had to be hand made because they just don't make them for some reason. New floor pans that have been sealed. I think it is in a good place where someone can appreciate it and finish it rather than it just sit, most of the stuff that needs to be finished is all customization, so you can make it how you want it. All of this being said these beater trucks are fun and this one definitely grabs attention. I have driven it enough to know it is solid and just a lot of fun. Obvious body work and paint Wiring done for light operationIt needs a proper shifter It needs new gauges, or the current gauges converted to the stock dash Rest of glass put back in, come with new door seals I have priced this at what I have in it with receipts to back it up. |
