Description of 1930 Ford Model A |
Built in 2009 (not by me). I purchased this steel bodied hot rod a year later and have invested considerably to make it solidly reliable. In 2012 a complete overhaul was made which included a new build crate motor from Pro-formance Unlimited (dyno'd 400hp: http://youtu. be/t30WOTkrl7E ). rebuilt 700R4 transmission. rebuilt and strengthened rear end. upgraded wiring. etc - basically anything that was in need of attention. The paint quality and general fit & finish are only fair. but appropriate enough for a hot rod. It has a functioning airspeed indicator. fed by a tube at front of car. I wanted a true speedometer. so I had one (aviation style) added. Mileage on the odometer only began then (1600 since 2012). It's kept garaged. and driven at least once a week. I'm not very mechanically inclined. so can only help so much on those questions. The last issued title was 2007 in Texas for a 1930 Ford 2D ( I have this title). Georgia does not title cars this old. so it only has a Georgia registration. I have a great collection of original build photos & receipts.
