Description of 1967 Ford Mustang GT350 |
Up for sale is my REAL 1967 Shelby. We have owned the car since June of 2000 and we are the 3rd owners per the registry. Throughout our ownership the car has undergone many improvements. Over the course of the past few years the car has been completely mechanically restored as well as the engine bay and undercarriage detailed, while maintaining the exterior panels and paint that date to 1 respray in 1985. The car was originally Lime gold however was repainted into a slightly tinted acupoco blue metallic. The paint is still driver quality but has its share of chips and imperfection accumulated over the years... great for local shows and cruise nights, but its not a show-car paint job at this point. All the fiberglass is original as well as the doors, the fenders were replaced during the repaint with ford N.O.S. Lower rear 1/4 panels were patched and not fully replaced, the drivers rear trunk floor has a spot above the rail only visible from the interior of the car that could use a small repair. Rear valence is repo and was painted this year as the old one chipped, thus I have a couple quarts of spare paint. Wheels are original with new BFG 60 series tires. Interior is pretty original, I have complete new upholstery set however I only changed the drivers seat for now as the others weren't ripped. Carpet is new. Correct cluster roll bar, steering wheel, lap belts are present with the only exception being the Roll bar retractors which went missing at a restoration shop. Misc, things like window regulators replaced as well. Mechanically everything is brand new. Engine is .020 over (have a blue sheet on the build) mild cam is in it. Intake, distributor, balancer etc are believed to be original. The carburetor also went missing at the resto shop so a correct Tony Brand repro is on the car. Engine block is believed to be correct however cannot find the vin stamp on it so I cannot confirm that, heads are non hipo heads. Transmission is a non original T10 mated to a hurst shifter setup. Rear is correct, big bolt housing locker. Orig HIPO exhaust manifolds are present. Power steering larger high revving pully is on the car and I have the p/s cooler in a box of spare parts as I didn't feel the need to reinstall at the time. Every piece of suspension, steering and braking is brand new and best quality. Other factory parts like the KONI shocks are in a spare parts box. Lower gauge pod is there as well, I took it out to replace the Plastic line for the oil PSI gauge as it got cut and was seeping oil but haven't had the time to reinstall it. Original Ford and shelby vins are present and I have the MARTI and MATTHEWS reports on the car, all books and literature from when it was new as well. In only the past few years I have over 35k invested into this car in parts and restoration services. Its a great car, however its time to move on and pursue other interests. A few small odds and ends are left to be buttoned up. Need a new control cable for the heater box, radio is not hooked up, E-brake needs to be hooked up (I have all the parts.) My intention was to get the car driving and enjoy it one last summer which I've had the chance to do as I put over 1000 miles on it this year... I wasn't concerned over the last few small things to complete which could be done on a Saturday. Any questions please feel free to contact me201 NINE61 THREE7ZERO5Thanks,Anthony |
