Beautiful 56 Ford F-100 "Resto-Mod" pickup. A rare Big back window "Custom-cab". They built a very small number of these big back window, deluxe cab trucks. This is a beautiful " Resto-Mod" pickup. I call it a "Resto-mod" because it retains the classic look of a original 56 pickup, but wrapped around a modern drivetrain and suspension that makes it a joy to drive. This truck is out of Arizona and is now in Michigan as part of a collection from a local Ford enthusiast. The outside of the truck retains the classic and beautiful lines of a 56 F-100. Super straight body with no rust issues. Only a few slight body mods from stock that cleaned up the lines. Like a filled in cowl vent and side cowl vent. A custom tailgate latching kit was also installed to rid of the factory latch. A capless fuel filler and door was also installed. And a custom tilt front hood system to better show off the highly detailed engine compartment. The door glass was also converted to a much cleaner " one-piece" glass conversion. Being a "deluxe cab" truck, includes the hard to obtain polished windshield and rear glass stainless trim. And you cant have a bright red exterior without the chrome bumpers and grille. It makes for a stunning look. The truck rolls on BF Goodrich radial T/A s and chrome wheels. Under the beautiful exterior is a laundry list of modern technology. Highlights of this build are a "Fuel-injected" 302 Ford HO engine. Backed by a 4 speed "overdrive" automatic transmission that shifts nice and smooth. The motor pulls great and sounds awesome thru a flowmaster equipped exhaust system. It is cooled thru an aluminum radiator and electric fans. As you can see the engine compartment was well thought out and has countless hours a polishing done to it. The suspension is full of high quality hardware that includes a ford 8.8 rear axle assembly that incudes disc brakes and 3.73 gears. Upfront You will find power "rack and pinion" steering. A Heights " super-ride" front end kit that makes for a classic truck that handles and rides like a modern one. Creature comforts include a leather wrapped steering wheel. Vintage air conditioning and heat system. A "Flaming river" tilt steering column. Dakota digital dash and gauges all wired thru a modern fuse panel and wiring. And of course power windows and a modern stereo system. I'm sure i'm forgetting things about this truck. There was so much done on this build. It is hard to list them all. This was a professionally built show truck using all high quality parts. It now has 10,080 miles on it. This truck is a joy to drive and gets looks where ever its taken. It would take 80- $ 90,000 dollars to duplicate this build in a shop. You can call with any questions from its very knowledgeable owner.
