Description of 1939 Ford Deluxe Convertible Coupe

Estate car. I'm selling this car as executor of my father in-law's estate. 1939 Ford Deluxe Convertible. My father in-law bought this car from the individual that restored it back in January 1999. The prior owner lived in Laguna Nigel, Ca. When the car was restored the motor was upgraded to 1946 100 HP with high compression Offenhauser heads. Beyond the heads the rest of the car is very original. My father in-law was a "purist" with his antique cars. The car is very drivable. In the 20 years my father in-law owned the car I would guess he has driven over 10,000 miles. The engine compartment is clean and correct. It does drip oil when parked and I have not determined if it is the engine or transmission. The interior and rumble seat are in excellent condition and show as well in person as they appear in the pictures. The paint would be the only downside to the car. The prior owner painted the car himself and it was at best an amateur body and paint job. It appears to be enamel paint. I have not found any rust on the car and do know of any history of rust. For 20 years the paint has held up very well. At 10 feet the car shines and looks great. On closer inspection there are imperfections in the paint as well as the surface under the paint. I remember when he bought the car there were sand scratches showing through the paint at that time. I have included one picture that shows cracks in the body on the lower right side of the rumble seat opening. This car is a driver and that is what he did with it. I have a bunch of parts and books that go with the car. Two sets of original style heads are included in the parts. I'm not very familiar with early Fords but will do my best to answer questions and can provide other pictures as requested. Again this is an estate car I'm limited in the history and current condition, but it does run and drive very well.
