Description of 1965 Ford Mustang GT Tribute |
This 1965 Ford Mustang is an awesome way to enjoy the classic car hobby at an affordable price. And when you check out the condition of this iconic Wimbledon White coupe with great GT-inspired trim, you'll discover a turn-key classic that has everything you want. Wimbledon White is always an excellent choice on an early Mustang, especially the coupes. This one looks particularly nice because it's a later professional respray that makes the factory-correct color really pop in the sunshine. More than just the desirable color, all the details that make the first Mustang an enduring icon. And the right elements are complete and pristine, like the Mustang corral grille, mirror-like wraparound chrome bumpers, styled steel wheels, and instantly recognizable taillights. Plus, if you're interested in having a bit of aggression with your pony car, then your eyes have been locked on the correct GT-inspired touches. This includes the fog lights in the grille, fender badges, red triple stripe on the rockers, and the trumpeted dual exhaust integrated into the rear valance. The rocker stripes not only look great, but they're also a preview of the interior. The seats, carpeting, and headliner all have deep red appearance of quality. Plus, the door panels and dash pad really bring out even more of this cherry disposition. In fact, we love it when a red interior is this nice and complete, because from the outside, you can almost see it radiating like a siren's song begging you to get in and go for a drive. You slip behind the factory-style deep-dish steering wheel and gaze at the early Mustang instrument panel – famous for its wide speedometer flanked by secondary gauges on either end. Even the addition of an auxiliary gauge trio doesn't look out of place. A center console with T-bar gearshift is a nice place to rest your right hand, and since it's connected to a three-speed automatic transmission, you can just feel this Mustang was meant for cruising. Plus, the AM/FM radio with digital tuner makes for much better sound and reception, but its knob-style design doesn't look out of place in this American icon. Open the hood, and you'll see that the fender callouts were not lying. Ford's versatile 289 cubic-inch is the right displacement for this C-code coupe. These are the perfect engines for reliability and component upgrades. In fact, you can already see this tidy motor has been given some nice additions, such as the Cobra valve covers, Monte Carlo bar, and Cobra-style long air topper. One look at the tidy wires and fresh hoses, and you can tell there has been an investment in making this a great V8. You even get the added convenience of an aluminum radiator to keep everything running cool. And since this is true pony car, they also saved room for performance in the restoration budget. The V8 inhales deeply through an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with authority out of a newer performance H-pipe dual exhaust. Complete with owner's manual, you can tell the right investments were made in this coupe. So when something this distinctive and this complete is available in a great iconic package, you know you need to hurry to grab this deal. Call now! |
