Description of 1978 Ford F-250 Ranger

This awesome pickup truck gets the job done. Big and brutal, this 1978 Ford F-250 Ranger 4x4 is ready to work, play, or just take you just about anywhere you want to go, thanks to 4-wheel-drive and a stout 351 under the hood. Great looks don't hurt, either.
In the '70s, if you needed stuff hauled, no matter how big, this was how you did it. As a result, finding a truck that hasn't been bashed and worked to within an inch of its life is no easy task. Fortunately, this one seems to have led an easier life of leisure, perhaps scouting remote hunting grounds or trekking across fields to get to a private fishing spot. The Midnight Blue repaint is a few years old and shows a bit of wear, but by truck standards, it's pretty good. There are no critical body issues save for the usual minor signs of use, and it appears to be wearing all its original sheetmetal so it's not like this is some wreck that was rebuilt. No, it's just a really clean heavy-duty pickup that's ready for new adventures. The chrome is still shiny, the egg crate grille gives it a slightly upscale look, and with a spray-in bed liner and factory tool stowage box built into the bed, this truck is still ready, willing, and able to work for a living. Add in some nice chrome, including a set of fog lights up front, and you get a truck that's at home just about anywhere.
It's clean inside where a fresh blue vinyl seat cover for the bench offers comfortable accommodations for three. Blue carpets are handsome and the burled walnut appliques on the dash (part of the Ranger package) give it an upscale look. A factory steering wheel frames the original gauges, which are pretty complete. The 4-speed manual transmission has a floor-mounted shifter while the lever next to it manages the 4-wheel-drive system with the usual settings. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo system provides decent sound for cruising and a sliding rear window provides great ventilation that makes this truck comfortable even in the summer heat.
This is a big truck, but fortunately, there's a big 351 cubic inch V8 to move it around. It's been recently detailed so it looks great, and a 4-barrel upgrade provides a nice boost in horsepower. With a recent tune-up, it starts easily and runs well, and the rumble from the custom Flowmaster dual exhaust system sounding more like a vintage muscle car than a big pickup. The very tidy chassis is heavy-duty enough to go just about anywhere, and with manual locking hubs, you don't have to worry about fragile parts getting broken at the least opportune moment. There's a new gas tank out back, 4.11 gears in the axles, and a class IV hitch out back for moving the big stuff. A modest lift gives it a go-anywhere stance and those big 35x12.5-16 tires look awesome on polished Pacer wheels.
This truck is definitely up for whatever you're looking to do, and thanks to the heavy-duty hardware, you'll never have to worry about getting stuck. Call today!
