Description of 1970 Ford F-100 Restomod |
This 1970 Ford F-100 has that cool kind of style you get when investing in vintage looks with a ton of power behind it. Oh yes, not only does this has a 408 stroker V8, but also the right suspension upgrades to take the best advantage of the extra power. This truck has a cool, almost sleeper look. The Pinto Yellow is the factory-correct shade, and it has a great '70s tone. Except you can see there has been an update to give it a more vibrant finish. Chrome bumpers, compete trim, and liner paint in the bed complete the look of a well-respected classic. But those large 20-inch American Racing Rodder alloys on a lowered suspension also signal there's a lot more beneath the classic style skin. Inside is more of that well-done classic look. The seat was recently recovered in a correct-style tan. Plus, with newer headliner, sun visors, and carpeting all in a coordinating tone, it has vintage look but a fresh feel. The dash has a great classic appearance with everything from the three-spoke steering wheel, to the Philco radio that's still cranking out tunes. But the neatly installed Bosch auxiliary gauges and the covered toggle switch for ignition let you know there's something fun in the engine bay. When you open the hood, the Ford Racing valve covers say it all. This is a mighty 408 cubic-inch stroker V8. So you get big block displacement in small block weight. Plus, there are go-fast goodies, like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and Hedman headers feeding the rumbling dual exhaust. It even has the right supporting components, like an MSD ignition, Optima red top battery, and an aluminum radiator. The C6 three-speed automatic transmission has a 3500 stall for optimum performance. And speaking of performance, check out the undercarriage photos for some terrific upgrades. You get a beefy last-gen Crown Vic independent front suspension, and in the rear, it's a four-link with adjustable coilovers. There's even four-wheel disc brakes and grippy sport tires to give this pickup superior handling. This is classic style with plenty of performance attitude. That's why you know you need to get your hands on this truck right now. Call today!!! |
