Description of 1927 Ford T Bucket |
1927 Ford T Bucket In 1959, the most popular detective show on television in the world featured a jive-talking parking lot attendant who made up his own vocabulary and drove a flamed Model T hot rod. Gerald Lloyd "Kookie" Kookson III (played by actor Edd Byrnes) was more popular than the two "big name" stars of "77 Sunset Strip," particularly with young people. The character used cool phrases like "antsville" (a place packed with people) and "long green" (money), and he was constantly combing his hair, leading to a hit record by Connie Stevens called "Kookie, Kookie (Lend Me Your Comb)." Adults didn't get it, but the kids sure did. For consignment a blue faded to purple flamed open wheeled, open cockpit, open engine wild T bucket. With those great looking Cragar 5 spokes, large rear tires, and double chrome supported straight windshield we are in Kookie Kookson heaven. Exterior Interior Drivetrain Undercarriage Drive-Ability The original Hot Rod style in the form of the ubiquitous T bucket takes us back to the late 40's and early 50's and the beginnings of drag racing on the street. The less adornments the less weight, and the faster the car will go. This car lets it all hang out. A simple but effective theory and design.
