Description of 1969 Ford Torino GT |
Please read the full description!!!! We have taken new pictures and I have update the description. A rare 1969 Ford Torino GT. It has a 351 motor. See pictures for dent on front right fender. I am selling this for my Dad. The car was parked approximately 40 years ago due to the motor needing overhauled. The car has power steering, power brakes and air conditioning which was not real common in 1969. The inside of the car has plenty of mouse sign to assure that it has been home to many. The Triumph motorcylce parts do not come with the sale unless negotiated for. I have had a lot of questions about how the body looks underneath do to it sitting so long. We went ahead and pulled the car out of the field it had been sitting in and I have updated the listing and pictures. The body is really in pretty good shape. My Dad had it undercoated when he bought it. The flaking you see in some of the pictures is the old undercoating flaking off. You will see in some of the pictures some rusted parts and that is what is left of the exhaust underneath. We have cut most of the exhaust out due to it falling off. There is some small rust through spots on the rear quarter panels around the back wheels. The rocker panels, front fenders and floor boards all look solid. The trunk area seems solid except for the one spot where there is rust through from the wheel near the rear quarter panel which was addressed above. We have 2 hub caps and my Dad is looking for the other 2. I want to emphasize that we are being as honest as we can on this car. We are not restoration experts. We know this car would be a great find for someone. It will catch some eyes at the car shows. The car is located near the community of Tryon, NE. This is a very rural location in Nebraska with very limited services. The nearest large community is North Platte, NE which is off of interstate 80. It is another 30 miles to my parents place. The buyer will be in charge of pickup and loading the car. My parents are older and are not in the shape to help. The car is currently rollable and ready to be loaded. A couple updates to the description due to some questions.-The motor is a 351 Windsor with a 4 barrel carb.-The car was parked due to the engine needing overhauled. The motor still turned over when it was parked. We can't guarantee that it will still turnover. Anyone experienced in this type of restoration will have a lot more expertise than me, but I sure would want to get some oil on the heads before trying to manually turn the motor over. This item is non-refundable. |
