I love this truck and am sad to think I might sell it, but I'm moving from Austin and it's time for someone else to have a chance to enjoy her. I am the 3rd owner, and have owned her since 1997.
I am by no means a truck or car expert, but here's what I know:
- As mentioned, I am the 3rd owner and bought her when I lived in Minneapolis in 1997. She was manufactured at the St. Paul plant and her original owner picked her up there.
- She came to Austin in 2002 and has been here ever since
- Pretty much an original, ready to restore beauty. Over the years, I have replaced the radiator, the carb was rebuilt, new tires, etc. She has recently been serviced at Dave's Perfection Auto on S 1st
- 99,937 original miles - you can be the one to turn it over to 100,000
- She runs great - starts right up no matter what the temperature
- There is definitely some rust in the floorboard and other places - but nothing too serious that cannot be fixed
- The shocks and struts definitely need to be replaced
- There is a tear in the seat that can be repaired or you can get a new seat
- I'd be happy to answer any other questions to the best of my ability
