1979 Ford F-150 Super-Cab Short-Bed~ Rare Bright Yellow 139' inch short wheel base Super-cab Short-bed~1 of 36 with these paint trim codes ever made comes with Marti Report~Ordered, built, sold, & owned in Redding California 41 years~Rare optioned 302V8 w "B" code car 4 speed overdrive w 2:73 axle~ A true 41 year old original radio delete California Survivor~Dual original California commercialBlue plates issued new in 1979NO RESERVE Up for bid is a 1979 Ford F150 Super-Cab Short Bed pickup. This is a very rare DSO #72 (District sales office) San Jose California original retail special dealer order #72C410 fromRedding Ford at 555 Cypress St. in Redding, CaliforniaThis California truck was special ordered in"Bright Yellow" (Ford paint code #5574-A) it was1 of only 36 every built with these paint trim codes, this original Shasta county California survivor has never left Northern California from where it was first ordered on 10/18/78. It was actually built on 12/01/78 and sold on 12/22/78 she still wears the original matching Blue California commerciallic plates first issued in 1979, as well as the original Redding Ford lic plate frame You or I cannot duplicatethis classic Ford truck. The Super-Cab option debuted in 1974, giving it's owners as much as and extra 49 cubic feet of cargo space behind the front seat . It was an option that took a few decades to become the preferredbody choice as did the crew cabs most were ordered with the standard 8 ft bed which is a 155 inch wheel base truck or 16 inch's longer. This configurationof the Super-Cab option and 6 1/2 foot short bed was very rare in 1979 Cosmetically the pictures speak for themselves. This is an absolutely stunning example of a 1979 Ford F-150 truck. The bright Yellow paint is not a color you see often, but it looks right on this truck and makes it stand out. The paint is vibrant and shines nice. Being a super cab and a short bed is also something you do not see very often. The body is pretty straight, there are some dings here and there as expected from a 41 year old pickup truck. Some of the paint in areas has fallen off more specifically the passenger side by the windshield and the drivers side by the rear lights. All of the original trim pieces are there and shine great with no pitting or damage. The glass has no cracks nor do any of the lights which all work. The original white steel wheels have been powder coated white and give it an extra coating of protection. Overall this truck is in good shape for 41 years old it is not perfect there are some imperfections, its honest old pickup. The interior of the truck is in good shape. The door panels are original and are not cracked. The carpet is brand new and looks great. The original seat has been replaced to match the carpet, dash and door panels. The truck could use some weather stripping but otherwise the interior is in good shape. All of the gauges are operational as well as the lights and high beams. Mechanically this truck is a running and driving truck. The drive trainis originalfrom the motor to the rear end. The motor has been rebuilt once in its lifetime. It will need a starter in future, it starts up fine but there are times it can be inconsistent and that starter will spin freely. The transmission shifts well in all gears it is quite unique and is 1 of only 906 F Series trucks ordered with the B-code 4 speed overdrive (car) transmission in 1979. Most trucks had a heavy duty (truck) transmission with much lower gears anda granny low first gear making it a more enjoyable truck to drive than one with granny low. The truck runs and drives but has spent a lot of time sitting over the years and would be recommendedto go through some of the wear items like belts, bushing's possibly shocks etc to be fully sorted. It also need a fan shroud. I want to set a realistic expectationthis is a 41 year old truck that has not been restored with theoriginal drive-train. **ONLY BID WITH INTENTIONS TO PAY FOR AND OWN THIS Truck** TERMS OF SALE I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO:
