Description of 1977 Ford GT40 |
1977 Ford GT40, glass kit car (Fiberfab Avenger fiberglass kit manufactured in the mid 70's), Chevy V-6 4-speed manual transmission, 22 actual miles, full set of working custom Stewart Warner gauges, glass rollup windows, mid-engine car, new tires, early ElCamino Nova Rally wheels, SUPER nice red vinyl interior like new (done 20 years ago and needs reglueing in a couple places from sitting up in the garage), almost new battery, (RUNS GREAT, NOTE that the gas tank will need to be cleaned for it to be drivable) windshield like new, louvered rear window cover, steers easy, body perfect with NO cracks in the fiberglass, (good clean title, Note this is a Kit Car, the VIN plate was generated in Pennsylvania as a 1977 Ford GT Coupe, it was purchased from Pennsylvania to Texas and was registered in Texas with a Texas note on the title that says “Reconstructed VIN Certificate Waivedâ€), split rear bumpers that are EARLY CORVETTE front bumpers, front bumper custom, real low production car, CAR HAS BEEN SITTING SINCE 1994 AND NOT DRIVEN ON THE ROAD, LAST INSPECTION STICKER SHOWS MAY 1995 IS WHEN IT WAS DUE TO EXPIRE. MOTOR IS NEW (NOW HAS A 4.3 V-6 CHEVY MOTOR AND IT USED TO HAVE A 383 CHEVY STROKER MOTOR BACK IN 1994) This car needs some love and time with a little investment put into it and it would be a $100k car on eBay or in any market that these are sought after. There is a lot of potential here and a great investment opportunity for someone that has always wanted one but wished they could find one unfinished. NOTE: I am trying to get updated photos with more photos of the car with the Rally Wheels on it, the undercarriage, driveline and suspension areas. The transmission is a Saginaw out of a 1965-1968 Chevelle and the rear end is either a Corvette or a Pontiac Fiero. Sorry for the poor computer skills here, but for now the extra photos are in the instagram links below. Copy and paste the link in your web browser and there are 10 photos in each link.
