Description of 1950 Ford Other

IF YOU HAVE INTEREST IN A NICE OLD SCHOOL 1950 FORD, "YOU NEED TO LOOK AT THIS ONE".Sweet running flathead V8, manual transmission with overdrive, sun visor, dual mirrors, window shades, headlight shades, fluted bumpers, white wall tires, red rims with beauty rings and dish hubcaps, roll pleated interior, i do have the fuzzy dice, i forgot to hang them on the rear view mirror.
WHAT IS THE HISTORY? I can't tell you a lot, I bought the car from a old man that owned a car lot about 25 miles from me. He had a nice collection but was down sizing because of his age. He bought the car from a man just south of hear in south eastern Tennessee.
HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK!TURN SIGNALS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK!HORN WORKS! WIPERS WORK!UNDER DASH GAUGES WORK!ORIGINAL RADIO HUMS, BUT DOES NO PLAY!
HOW ABOUT RUST? All the panels look original to me, the frame looks real good and solid. The under side has never been totally undercoated, you can see the condition. A couple of very small spots may have been fixed, but I consider it very solid. Some metal is rusty color, but very solid. I see no rust bubbles out in the panels and no cracks. I did not do the paint work so I don't know if it has body filler, my guess is that it does, they all do.
HOW IS THE PAINT? The paint has a very good shine, I see no dents or dings and the body is very straight when I look down the sides. I do see some small touched up chips on the edge of the hood. Its good paint, just not a $20,000 roll out of the trailer show queen.
HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Not new, but very good, the headliner is very nice with no holes or sags, the door panels good with some minor waves at the bottom, the seat covers good with a couple of minor nicks, but no holes and no real wear.
HOW IS THE ENGINE? It starts good and runs good. I hear no knocks and see no blue smoke. I think the cubic inch on these old flat-heads was 239 and the horse power about 100. Its no Muscle Car, its a cruiser.
HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a 3 speed manual with over drive. I have not tried the over drive, but past owner said it worked, he put some parts on and a toggle switch. The shiftierbod on the column is old and has wear, if you do not follow the pattern is can sometime hang up, just follow the pattern.
HOW IS THE GLASS? All the glass is nice, the only problem I see is minor bubbles on the edge of the rear quarter glass. No wiper marks on the windshield and the door window roll up good. I do see that the window whiskerson the drivers window is getting worn.
HOW IS THE CHROME? Very nice bumpers, they are the aluminum fluted front and rear, not factory, but a popularupgrade. Stainless down the sides good, door handles good, grill good with 2 tiny hole on the edge on one bar, trunk bezelshines good with 3 or 4 pits.
HOW ARE THE TIRES? Tires look new, paint red rims with very nice hubcaps and beauty rings.
BOTTOM LINE: This is a upper end driver, it look great, runs good and most everything works. Its no perfect show queen, if you want one of those get more money read, because you will need it.
