"THE SLEEPER" 1968 Ford F100 Shortbed. Originally a Factory 390 Automatic. Now a 428 with Headers. Dual Exhaust and Glasspacks. T-18 4 Speed With Granny Gear and Posi Rear End. I Was Told The Heads on This 428 Might Possibly Be Cobra Jet Heads. They Are "C8AE". I Have Looked Over The Heads and They Do Have Studs Protruding From It As Some CJ's Did. I Don't Really See Anything Alpha-Numeric That Precedes The Casting Number On The Head. Which Would Eliminate it From Being a CJ. But ! Yea Never Know. Hey ! . Always Fun Decoding The FE Blocks. Strong Strong Runner. "POWERFUL" Very Responsive and Fun To Drive. Tight ! Good Clutch. Shifts Great. Brakes Stop. But a Master Cylinder Might Want To Be On Your Short List. Body Is Very Straight ! Has All It's Original Trim Moldings. (see pics). Tailgate Has Some Rust But Easily Repairable. Chassis and Floor Pans are Ok. Bed Is Good . loor Pan Supports Have Some Rust. Very Typical For This Era F100. Not a Big Deal. Nothing Over The Top. Solid Georgia Truck ! Interior Is In Great Shape. Has The Mustang Bucket Seats. Dash Is Good. Will Need a Headliner.
