Description of 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible |
This 1968 Ford Mustang convertible is one of the most interesting classics you're going to see for quite some time. There was a big investment in getting it looking quite stock, so everything feels like a time capsule, right down to the decals on the V8. Brittany Blue is the factory-correct color, and it shines as bright as your nostalgia thanks to a modern clearcoat respray. This sets up for a head-turning appearance that stays true to Mustang originality, while also showing plenty of the correct flair. So while you have bright chrome bumpers and crisp lines, there's also much more here. The bright GT-style wheel covers, luggage rack on the trunk, and Deluxe hood with working turn signals really give you the best of the era. The white triple rocker stripe coordinates with the white roof to give you an awesome coordinated look when this Mustang is buttoned up to the world. As much as we like the way this one looks with the top in place, with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal an even cooler interior. After all, the two-tone blue inside coordinates so nicely with the exterior paint. This factory-correct appearance looks great on the bucket seats, door panels, and dash. The driver gets the improved round gauge package that came on later versions of the first-gen Mustangs, and the center console was also a much better setup in 1968. So you really get the best driver-oriented features that Ford improved in these later cars. And of course, you'll love the feeling of the wood-rimmed three-spoke sports steering wheel. There's even more blue under the hood. They restored the 289 cubic-inch V8 to look its best with the bold blue on the block, valve covers, and air topper. It's a factory-fresh style, right down to the decals. The V8 inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a sweet sound out of the dual exhaust. As you look underneath the car, you'll spot a ton of fresh components that remind you that they really invested in every inch of this car. This is also why it feels so solid on the road. Plus, the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front means easy cruising. Complete with a Marti Report, this is the iconic classic with a standout color package. But while this convertible has plenty of blue, the only way it can make you feel blue is if you miss out on this deal. Call now! |
