Description of 1970 Ford Mustang |
*** Project Car - As-Is - No Warranty *** This was my daily driver back in the early 1980's. It was acquired from N. Carolina and has been garaged each winter in NE. It has been off the road and garaged for over 30 years. Always had the idea that I would rebuild it 1 day but life has had other ideas. Time has come for someone else to have a chance with a classic car. This would be a great son/daughter project car. Not being exposed to NE winters has managed to keep the body and frame in very good condition. There are 2 minor problem spots that I know of. The first is a small area in the driver's floor pan. The second is the are patched in the fender when the antenna was relocated. This was done by the prior owner. I've include a photo of this. I have included photos of areas that are traditionally know to rust/rot on these cars. They are all very solid. The current motor is a 302 with aftermarket aluminum manifold and 650 cfm 4-barrel carb. There is also a dual exhaust and cast aluminum wheels with 60 series tires. Of course, the condition of all this is unknown. There is an issue where the driver's side door will not latch. I'm thinking it probably needs the latch replaced or rebuilt. I do have the interior panel. It is shown in the picture of the back seat. The front seats are leather from a Lincoln Mark III. I did install new carpet back when I was driving this. The vehicle has a clear Massachusetts title. I also have to prior North Carolina title. Contact me with request for additional information.. I will do my best to respond. |
