Description of 1930 Ford Model A |
1930 Ford Model A 2 Door Deluxe Phaeton One of only 3,945 Deluxe Phaetons Rare and desirable body style Ground up restoration stalled for 4 decades In dry storage in giant building since 1983 Top of the line Deluxe Phaeton 90 % complete needs finishing NO RESERVEWe have a very rare 1930 Ford Model A 2 door Deluxe Phaeton in Washington Blue over Riviera Blue with 5 Tacoma cream wire wheels. This car is part of a 300 plus collection we are liquidating for the family, this particular vehicle was one of many that were a complete nut and bolt restoration this particular restoration was ongoing and nearing completion when sometime in the 1980’s progress was stopped. The information I was given regarding this vehicle is from a family member not from the original owner who is deceased. He was a very large collector of vintage automobiles both cars and trucks with a particular interest in Ford products from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s,50’s and 1960’s. The owner was a highly sought afterconcourseshow judge for many big show's with his vast first hand knowledge of early Ford’s and Ford V8’s. This was one of the last ground up restorations he did before he got sick and sadly passed away before the completion of the project. I was told the car is about 90 % complete the hard stuff is done of few trim items it needs a top and door panels, rear bumper not included. Not sure what happento those items I can say we do not have them any longer with the sale. What you see is what you get the car is being sold NO RESERVE and will sell to the last bidder exactly as you see in the pictures. Please don’t ask questions like "what happenedto the ???" I have no idea what happened if we have this or that because what we are selling is exactly as you see in the pictures . The Deluxe Phaeton was the top of the line model and with 4,858,644 Model A’s produced between 1927-1931 the Deluxe Phaeton 2 door was one of the rarest models with only 3945 ever built in 1930 I was told by the family this particular model was one he sought for many years, the engine and drive train were completely rebuilt and all new as well as the paint and body. The interior was being finished but all of the projects that were on going were shuttered around 1980 and the car sat in a very large building for the last 4 decades. Everything you see is new or been rebuilt anything you don’t see like the top or the door panels or anything else you can’t see does not come with the vehicle. The car is being sold this week for No Reserve and will sell to the last bidder. This is a unique opportunity to own a real original California car that is nearly 90 years old and with a little work could be basically a new car. Cosmetically the car is in good shape. As for mentioned the car is a partial nut and bolt restoration. The body is straight was freshly painted 40 years ago and has been sitting inside ever since. The underneath is practically new, it has never actually been driven on a road yet. There is no rust are body damage. Everything you see is in good condition as expected from a car that was in the process of a frame off complete restoration that has been stalled. There are items missing like the top and such that we do not have. The interior of this Ford is in great shape but incomplete. The seats are in good shape with no holes or tears. The dash and interior has also been painted when the rest of the car got sprayed. The flooring is in great shape. It is missing things like door panels and handles but otherwise in good shape. Mechanically this car has been completely gone through. The motor and transmission are brand new. It has never been fired. The car will need fluids and power and you should have a running vehicle. NO RESERVE THIS ITEM WILL SELL TO THE FINAL BIDDER!This listing includes well over 75 detailed photos and the vehicle has been described as descriptive as possible. If there is anything that is unclear or additional information is needed please don't hesitate to ask. Please ask any questions before bidding. Please only bid with the intention to own. Bidding then canceling for "entering the wrong amount" will get you blocked from further bidding.
