Description of 1979 Ford F-250 Lariat

Unbelievable Chance to purchase this truck at an unbelievable price. For the buyers wanting a truck with the intention of building an impeccable Restoration or throwing your color on it ...This is it!! I havehad severalfords this erain the lastseveral yearsand the body condition onthis one is Outstanding!! The drivers door and the door panels are the only let down on this truck body.

My son bought this truck recentlybecause it is literally an impeccable restoration project. This truck runs and drives good, brakes are good and is a very smooth riding truck, solid and tight body. This trucks previous long term owner was in Colorado. The truck was inherited and re-tagged in Kansas prior to my sons purchase. Unfortunately he has other obligations more important and more unfortunate I am not in the position to buy this truck... and that will haunt me for a long time. Believe me, as I am a collector of this era. See the photo of this truck next tomy 77 High Boy!! This truck is a beast next to it!

The Chassis is an original X28 SNthat the Colorado owner had which was an F-250 super cab, cab chassis 4x4with 400m. This is the current chassis and drive terrain.

The Bodyof theoriginal X28 was discarded and the truck was rebuilt with the 2" chassis lift and 3" body lift using an X25JKDJ SN which is an F-250 super cab truck 2 wheel drive with 460. The truck was then assigned a VIN by the State of Colorado, however maintaining the 1979 status. The body swap was done at some point Prior 2018, but uncertain when.

The cab is complete with condenser, radiator and A/C dash, evaporator coreand air handler, pump lines all in tact. The A/C compressor and bracket are not on the truck and are gone.

The drivers door is off another truck and I have no idea what happened. Both doors are currently adjusted correctly, however somebody previously had them messed up and both have caught the front fenders. Nothing major that cannot be straightened...just very frustrating considering this above average body condition!

See the photo over the drives side door, top of the cab. There is short rust line above the drip cap... I am very surprised at this spot considering the rest of the body and all the underbody is literally rust free!

The passenger side bed skirt just in front of the tire has some wrinkle. Definitely can be straightened with little effort and not more than some block sanding.

Realize this is an AS IS truck. Nothing was covered up or made to look anything that it is not!! No cheap paint job or cover ups trying to think this is garage kept original! This truck IS well above par and IS a truck that could create an immaculate restoration! And this truck IS selling for a reserve that is LOWER than it should be!!

Thank you!
