Description of 1977 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT |
1977 F-350 Crew Cab Ranger XLT with convenience group lighting, A/C, awesome 460 with Edlebrock air gap intake manifold, Holly carb., dual exhaust, new chrome mod wheels 16x8 (front & rear) LT285/75 R16 Pathfinder tires front, LT295/75R16 Cooper Discover AT3 tires rear. I have had this truck for years, very dependable, smells great on the inside with that clean Ford vintage aroma! Very, very solid Western truck, custom built towing engine, trailer brake controller, very, very rare steering wheel, really nice gauges, class 3 trailer hitch and chrome, chrome, chrome!!! It will have to be painted to be a 1st Place winner at a car show. There are imperfections. This truck was the top of line, best you could buy in 1977. The last year of this grill design and the first year of RaceTrac Chrome. Oh yes, the rear axle on these F-350's are 4inches narrower than the F-250 to accommodate dual wheels on rear, Oh yes, this exhaust will talk to you! P.S. Sometimes I need money quick to pay a bill or need more space, resulting in me accepting a lower price than a truck is worth. This truck is NOT going to be an example of that happening. I'm liquidating a 20 year collection and this just might be one I keep for myself if it doesn't sell. 4x2 and 4x4 short-bed crews are everywhere, not F-350's. Not like this. In 1978-79, respectively, there were approximately 1750 short bed crew 4x4's made, I believe the number on F-350 crews were between 500-700 produced per year in 1978/79. This being the last production year of this grill style, as it changed mid 77 to the rectangular grill, that would probably lower this production number to around 250 for early 1977, which this is, and of that 250 probably less than 10% were loaded like this one. So in actuality, there were probably 25 made that were loaded like this and if you break that down by colors, you probably had 10 black ones. Now after 43 years, this is probably the last one in existence. And it's in awesome shape! |
