Description of 1976 Ford F-250 Explorer

Up for sale is a 1976 Ford F250 High Boy 4 X 4 pickup truck redneck special. This truck is rusty just about everywhere but runs and drives and as near as I can tell all of the 4 wheel drive stuff works. It was originally a 360 powered truck but now has a 1973 390 motor with good oil pressure and I didn’t notice any strange knocks or smoke from the motor when we started and drove it briefly. The transmission is a granny gear 4-speed and it has the part time divorced transfer case with the large lockouts on the front axle. The front axle is a Dana 44 and the rear axle is a Dana 60 Posi with 4. 10 ratio gears. The truck runs and drives but may not be in good enough shape to drive on the street without some decent tires and making sure all the lights work. This F250 4 X 4 would make a good project 4 X 4 pickup or a good parts donor if you have one you are trying to fix. The older solid axle F250 4 X 4 High Boy trucks are getting hard to find and most of them have been crushed. The body on this truck is in rough condition but the running gear is complete and the truck has a lot of potential. There is a clear title available for the truck.
