Description of 1966 Ford Mustang GT350 Tribute |
When you take a nicely finished 1966 Ford Mustang and upgrade it to a Shelby GT350 tribute, the result is something special. So look over the shining paint, A/C interior, V8 power, and all the other extras you get with this distinct and well-presented classic. Victory Red is great paint name to have on this coupe. After all, if you're going to have a Shelby tribute, it's great to have it sound like it's already in first place. And because this is an upgrade later in life, you get a nice modern clearcoat luster. But you want this one for far more than its radiant red. It has a ton of the right upgrades to make it look like a Mustang GT and a Shelby machine, including the hood scoop, grille, side scoops, and exhaust coming out of the rear valance. That white stripe package is done exceptionally well. That's why it starts below the front bumper, runs all the way over the car (including the roof,) and it doesn't stop until under the rear valance. Of course, the matching GT350 side stripes are a must-have for a proper tribute. Inside the red theme continues. But where the exterior is built for a vintage competition appearance, the interior is much more about classic comfort. You know this the moment you open the door and lay eyes on the premium "Pony" package bucket seats. The red here goes nicely with the door panels, carpeting, headliner, dash, and premium center console. And the wood-like trim on the console also goes nicely with the dash and steering wheel. This vintage-style appearance is everywhere you look, right down to the AM radio that's still on display. But while the air conditioning unit looks like the classic Ford setup, this is really blowing nice and cold with modern R134a. Under the hood is 289 cubic-inch motor that's dressed to impress the Shelby crowd. It has the Cobra air cleaner and Cobra valve covers taking center stage on top of the V8's block. Shelby people know to look for the curved Monte Carlo bar running across the engine bay. This motor fires up nicely and idles smoothly. It's built to give you a good feel for the road, and there are also some nice cruising features like the C4 three-speed automatic transmission and the upgraded 17-inch wheels that allow for fitting proper modern performance tires. Complete with owner's manual, this is a great-looking Shelby tribute with all the right features. So don't let this opportunity pass you by. Call now! |
