Description of 1973 Ford Other |
This 1973 Ford Maverick has 50. 50 actual miles. nbsp;was purchased new in Dayton Ohio. and owned by the original purchaser until this year. It is as close to mint condition as you could possibly find. The owner very neatly saved every receipt in a 3 ring binder. which comes with the car. It looks like he had it serviced regularly and obviously never drove it in the winter. It has special ordered metallic gold glow paint. It was also ordered with the largest 250 cubic inch six cylinder engine. It is a one barrel carburetor and is rated at 35 MPG. The engine is rated at 145 H. P. The car is an automatic on the column. This car is 100 percent original except for the brand new 14 inch tires. The paint and interior is absolutely flawless. as is the chrome bumpers and all the chrome trim. When you open the door to get inside. it is just like stepping into a brand new 1973 car. It is honestly that clean. The carpet has just a hint of sun fading. but is not worn. The seats look like they have never been sat in. The dash and gauges look new. The owner of this car was meticulous about keeping it like new for as long as possible. Unfortunately he is now in a rest home. so I purchased it at his estate sale. The underside is clean. but I have not gotten under it to detail it any further. so it's a little dirty. There is one bubble in the paint that will need attention if you want this to be the nicest 1973 original Maverick in the world. It is behind the front wheel on the drivers side. It's not visible in the pictures. but I took the best picture I could so you can see it. Other than that. this car is in fantastic condition. It starts soon as you turn the key. runs like a brand new car. shifts smoothly. and drives like a dream. The power steering makes driving it by anyone effortless. This would make a perfect car for anyone wanting to win trophies at most car shows. It actually should be in a museum. It still has the factory AM radio. and wonderful factory air conditioning. It has the overhead seat belts. which tuck neatly away above the doors. and also factory lap belts. Even they look new. The inside of the trunk is almost perfect. It comes with a new spare also. mounted in the trunk in the proper location. Also the car has the original hubcaps. The only thing besides the tires that isn't original is a new muffler. The rest of the exhaust system is in excellent condition. All the windows roll up and down smoothly. The door shut like a new car. It has the flip out quarter back windows. I don't know what else I can say about this car. The mileage is documented in the files. and is truly 50. 50 actual miles. It comes with a clear Ohio title. I can have this car shipped anywhere in the United States very reasonably. It will be totally insured. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. As for payment. I accept cash if you are picking it up. No Checks. If you want it delivered. I'll accept a bank cashiers check. or wire transfer. I will need enough time to make sure the check clears my bank. If you are anywhere other than the United States. I will require a bank to bank wire transfer. I can have it delivered to the port of your choice. but you will be responsible for arranging overseas shipping. I have the option to sell the car here locally. or accept an offer. My cars rarely make it to the end of the auction. so if you really want the car. don't hesitate to send me an email. I'm very easy to deal with. and never ask top dollar for any of my cars or bikes. I also have other muscle cars I will be listing as time permits. but none of them are original like this one. This car belongs in a museum. or to someone who appreciates original classic cars. There may be a nicer one out there somewhere. but I doubt it would ever be found for sale. If the car didn't have the spot on the fender. it would for sure be the nicest one on the planet. It will be a cheap and easy fix. than any good body man could fix in a few hours. Personally. I would leave it alone. as it's not that noticeable. But I want it known that I did identify it. I had 100 percent feedback since 1999 until some guy gave me a negative on one of my cars. He waited too long to pay me. so I sold it. Then I received his check later. sent it back with an explanation. and he gave me the negative. I have dozens of references. I sold vintage motorcycles for 20 years. but have now gotten into the classic muscle cars. Please email me with any questions. I'll be glad to deal with you on any classic car or motorcycle you may have. I will answer all emails. Thank you for looking. and reading my description of this very rare car. God Bless |
