Description of 1968 Ford Mustang Official Licensed Eleanor Tribute Edition |
RARE RED & AUTOMATIC 1968 FORD MUSTANG 'OFFICIALLY LICENSED ELEANOR TRIBUTE EDITION' FROM THE RENOWN BNMC OF TULSA, OK WITH ONLY SOME 66 TEST MILES ON THE BRAND NEW BUILD. RARE & UNIQUE ELEANOR WITH A NO EXPENSE SPARED (OVER $249K) BUILD FROM AMERICA'S PREMIER MUSCLE CAR BUILDING COMPANY! West Coast Classics are proud to present a just completed 1968 Ford Mustang 'Licensed Eleanor Tribute Edition' in rare 'Red with White sports stripes' & an even rarer automatic transmission. $249K in the build, only 66 miles since completion. Denice Halicki certified licensed edition with 427/575HP V8 engine and many more upgrades and built by the renown 'BNMC' of Tulsa, OK. No finer examples anywhere. What is an "Eleanor"? She's the Star Car character from Denice Halicki's 2000 movie "Gone in 60 Seconds," which was a remake of the H.B. Halicki's 1974 movie "Gone in Sixty Seconds" starring Eleanor. This is a just completed build of a rare automatic and 'Red' color "Official Licensed Gone in 60 Seconds Eleanor Tribute" by the renown BNMC of Tulsa, OK. This all-new, all-metal built-from-scratch vehicle is not a kit car, clone or replica. This is a real Ford Mustang titled and registered as such. As a tribute to one of the most beloved car movies of all time it was built with no expense spared to suit it's owner and is therefore to be considered a "bespoke" or tailored one off example built exclusively to personal specifications. It features the Official Licensed "Gone in 60 Seconds" modern coilover suspension and Ford Motor Company licensed body from 'R3 Performance Products'. The year was 2000, and Nicolas Cage, Angelina Jolie and Robert Duvall (among others) all stared in a big budget Hollywood film called Gone in 60 Seconds. The film garnered mixed reviews, citing lousy acting and several far-fetched elements, but one gleaming icon rose to prominence from film a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 named Eleanor. Eleanor was not your average Shelby GT500 though (as if there were such a thing). Her rear bumper was trimmed and tucked and the front omitted all together in favor of racing-style apron. Chunky fender flares added room for the wide and iconic Halibrand-style mags and side skirts gave the illusion of a lower stance and concealed a pair of side pipes. The grille was swapped for a wire-style unit and the front lighting was revised as well. Eleanor was a big-screen icon and permanently amplified the mystic surrounding all Shelby Mustangs of the era. Now, 20 years later, the Eleanor Mustang is still an instantly recognizable figure and a desirable auto for collectors and enthusiasts internationally. This all new Eleanor Mustang with official licensing is from BNMC of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who specialize in all new muscle car builds and refurbished classics. BNMC has a catalogue of impressive products, including an officially-licensed 'Yenko Camaro' that was first shown at SEMA last year. Just as with BNMC's other offerings, customers can opt for a perfectly accurate Eleanor, with 'Pepper Grey' paint, black stripes and the 'Go Baby Go' nitrous button, or a fully customized version like this particular example, in any color, with other power adders and amenities like air-conditioning and automatic transmissions, such as this particular example. Off-the-shelf engines options include a 550+ hp Ford Racing 427 ci and a 435 hp 5.0-liter Coyote. Licensing for the cars is provided by Denice Halicki, who owns the trademarks and copyrights in "Gone in 60 Seconds" (2000), the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" (1974) and the star car character Eleanor as she appears (looks/image) in the 2000 remake. Ms. Halicki and her business partner Michael Leone provide official licensing surrounding the films and operate "Eleanor Licensing". The companies develop new entertainment products, motion pictures, license and distribute worldwide merchandising products from "Gone in 60 Seconds", "Eleanor" and the other Halicki Films: "The Junkman", "Deadline Auto Theft" and "Gone in 60 Seconds" (1989). This particular example was commissioned by a local Torrance retired businessman who wanted a totally unique version of this iconic car in 'Red' and with an automatic transmission but which also accurately maintained the essence of the original car. The build included many upgrades to the standard BNMC build with a final total cost of some $249,130.31. The car will be sold with it's build sheets documenting all the parts and labor and some of the major specs for this particular car include: Custom Built 427/575HP V8 'Performance Unlimited' Crate Engine with FiTech EFI Nitrous Oxide AOD Automatic Transmission 450HP Super Street Transmission Aluminum Crossflow Radiator with Electric Fans Roll Bar Tilt Column Power Rack & Pinion Steering 17x8 BS 4.5 Wheels 351W Ceramic Coated Headers Dual 2.5" Functional Stainless Steel Side Exit Exhausts with Electric cutouts Classic Shelby GT500 Ornaments & Classic Instruments & Gauges 18 Stud Wood Grain Aluminum Steering Wheel Wilwood Classic Mustang Master Cylinder Wilwood Forged Narrow Superlite Disc Brakes Air Conditioning & Heater Defrost System Rally 1000 Slider Seats with front & rear belts Sound Deadening Brushed Aluminum Door panels Power Windows Pioneer CD/XM/Sirius/Bluetooth radio Alarm You will look long and hard to find a finer example of this brand new just completed no expense spared build of a 1968 Ford titled 'Licensed Eleanor Tribute Edition' car in this unique striking color combination which will ensure the driver to stand out from the numerous 'Pepper Gray' crowd out there and with the automatic transmission it is perfect for cruising the highways for the ultimate in daily driving fun as long as long as you don't mind some serious sure fire star attention! |
