Description of 1974 Ford F-250

For sale by PRIVATE OWNER
Was sold several months ago, nowre-listed (hence snowy pictures)
1975 Ford F-250 Crewcab Shortbox 4x4.
Truck is located in Calgary Alberta Canada. It is well over 25 years old (antique status), domestic built, and free to travel without any shipping restriction. It was last titled in the United States. If a buyer is from the States, there are no special procedures. It's simply returning.
Once again, the truck is in Calgary Alberta Canada (approx 3 hrs north of Montana). Please do not ask me where the truck is located... It is in Calgary Alberta Canada. Ebay does not have provision for those with multiple residences.

PLEASE NOTE: The border closure applies to personal travel ONLY, not shipments or deliveries.

I probably don’t have to fluff up a description by telling you how valuable vintage pickups have become, or how rare and desirable this particular configuration is. If you're looking at this truck, you're likely quite aware. I’ll limit myself to describing the truck’s condition.
With that said, we have here is an UNRESTOREDFord crew cab, short box, 4x4. It has it’s share of small scratches and small dings but is nearly 100% original and, best of all…has surprisingly little rust. This truck is remarkably solid. Also, it runs and drives exceptionally well.
I bought this truck knowing they are climbing in value and paid top dollar. We had every intent on keeping it put away for years to come. Only thing I had planned on doing waspowder coating the wheels white, painting the roof white to match (then artificially aging it), and adding some classic inspired door business decals. I was also loosely considering reupholstering the seat inserts white, to further anchor the bright 2-tone contrasting colour scheme. It would’ve been great but, I likely wouldn’t have used it. Right now a vintage truck just doesn’t really suit our lifestyle anyway and paying rent to keep it in a rented storage garage is likely an exact offset to any investment potential.
As is, the truck needs very little to enjoy. It’s got a great look (I hesitatingly cringe to mention the over-used word patina). The truck runs and drives very well. You can hardly even hear the engine, and do not feel it running. With a lot of old vehicles, you can hear the engine, or in the very least feel vibration of sorts through the seats or wheel. With this one, often I find my self needing to rev the engine at a stoplight, just to be sure it's running. With the bigger diameter tires (35” BFG’s), it has no problem running at highway speeds. Asides from the fuelgauge not functioning, and the left signal not cancelling on it’s on (you have to click it back), I can’t think of any problems. Often times, these old Fords have hidden rust issues but not this one. It’s certainly surprisingly well preserved in that regard. The metal is solid. Please look at the close-up pics.
I understand that a lot of these trucks are being bought up to have modern drivetrains swapped in. I feel that because of how solid it is, this truck can be a fabulous blank canvas or starting grid for an unbelievably great drivetrain modernization. It deserves more than being parked in a rental storage as potential kinetic investment while not being enjoyed.

Details etc:
Review our feedback please.....Each is for a 40+ year old vehicle!

During our relatively short tenure on eBay, we've figured out2 very important things arecommunicationandprocedure. We have a little procedure. Our little procedure focuses on communication. It goes as follows:
  • After auction, we ask for your buyer's information.
    • You supply.
  • We fill in transfer papers and scan/send to you.
    • You confirm spelling and information correct.
  • You go to your bank, and send funds.
    • We validate receipt.
  • We begin on shipping,
    • ...keeping you informed every step..
  • You receive your Vintage pickup.

We're not interested in Paypal or deposits...

I don't care for deposits. If you want the truck, you know the value of what you're looking at. If you are bidding, please be serious as I am and understand our adherence to this little system/procedure. It's to help both of us. If, for any reason, you cannot adhere to this procedure, please let us know BEFORE BIDDING. OR,....IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK OR ARE NEW TO EBAY YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING.Otherwise, I will cancel your bid.

DELIVERY:...to most states and destinations is in the $1500+ range. Please keep that in mind. Budget for at least this amount. Texas and Florida, and other far southeastern states, are obviously a bit more at minimum $2250-ish. Any required inspections, certifications, registrations, paperwork, or anything else are the buyer's responsibility. I don't know the rules in each particular state so, am selling as per Alberta rules. My wife has become pretty good at setting up shipping and, is happy to assist. Rest is up to you. Payment is by bank transfer, US account to US account. As stated, I don't ask for Paypal. Once payment is received, everything else is ready to proceed from there. I believe putting this pickup unreserved will easily make up for any shipping costs. Somebody is likely to get a heck of a deal.

CALLS:Even a long-winded description like mine is bound to miss a few details. If you'd like to speak over the phone, I'm happy to hear from you. Please write and we'll make arrangements.

If you are fromOVERSEAS,please know we have shipped long distances several times. We are happy to assist. Since beginning to narrow down ourinadvertent collection a couple years ago, we've sold to England, France, Germany, Holland, Slovenia, as well as theMiddle East and New Zealand. If it says anything about what kind of sellers we are... We have sold 6 (six !!) to one gentleman alone in Holland, 2 to another, and 2 to one fellow in England.

And, well...... Ibelieve that covers everything.
Good luck & HAPPY BIDDING.

Engine is 360. Transmission is manual 4 speed. I believe it's 4.10:1 geared.

Update since initial listing:

Since selling the truck several months ago, and the sale not being completed, we have undertaken to have it thoroughly gone over. We've spent THOUSANDS having a ton of little "old vehicle"-type issues taken care of. I don't know much about the history of the truck but, it was stored away somewhere seemingly for a very long extended time. Seals and rubber parts dry up. We had most replaced. Almost everything was little things but, they really add up. This was all done professionally at a renowned facility with walls full of awards. Only last thing we awaited was the arrival of new brake shoes, bearings, and seals, which should be installed this upcoming week (before being sent for delivery to new owner). Tires/wheels have been upgraded to brand new take-off's from a King Ranch F-250. It looks fabulous. I understand some people want more of a vintage appeal, or their own custom choice so, unless otherwise requested... The truck will come with stock type rims/tires for transport. Tires/wheels in pictures will be included as well, and placed in the box for transport.
