Description of 1973 Ford Mustang

1973 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE Q CODE COBRA JET 351-C 4 BARREL CARB ORIGINAL PAINT. LOW MILEAGE !!!A classic that is now over 40 years old. It would be a decade or more before they brought back the glory of the Mustang. The 1973 version was definitely and end to an era. There have been some changes to the car so I might be reluctant to call it outright as a survivor vehicle but it is really close. Odometer is in Miles. as is the mileage stated for the ad. The car has only been licensed by two owners. the original in Missouri and myself and also a show winner (2008 MCA in Oakville. nbsp;Ontario) for the most original. The car retains nearly all of its original parts that were assembled in the original plant in Dearborn Michigan. As can be seen from the pictures the car displays many of its original stickers. badges. decals and shop markings (yellow marks under hood and on doors). Included is a picture with the carburetor and its Motorcraft tag/badging. It also has the original inspection sticker from the Utica facility which made the convertible tops for Ford assembly. Have other pictures (pin welds of the door skins. cabin) and other areas. If you want to see some more. let me know. Also have some original papers that include (pictures can be seen above)Original Manual. Notice on the emissions changesAn owner warranty card and attached metal plate with warranty information. Ford consumer notice. A tube of Ford touch up paint. Safety brochure (on the reverse it makes a big sign that says "SEND HELP NEED GAS"). And the original Ford plastic bag it came in. Some maintenance bills with mileage********Willing to consider offers and well as trade in whole or in part for comic books (1975 or prior). Pulps. Original Comic Art. and some movie posters (Hitchcock. 50's Sci-Fi). . classic bicycles and a carbon fibre mountain bike (hard tail or full suspension)********Marti Report states car is one of 52 with paint and trim codes. If you factor in the tough to get 351-Cleveland 4 barrel the rarity of the car increases. as most convertibles were the smaller 302. Some details about the car Original paint (Ivy Glow Metallic) 351 Cleveland Engine 4 Barrel Carb Automatic C-6 Transmission 9-inch rear with 3. 25 axle ratio Competition Suspension Package Air Conditioning (not operational needs belt and coolant) Power Steering Power Brakes Power Black Convertible Top with Glass Backlite Black interior Magnum rims Ram Air/Nasa Hood AM/FM Radio Marti Report 3 items not original to the car would be the rims. the locking fuel gas cap (but the original screw on gas cap is present and comes with the car) and the NASA hood. The original hood was a flat type but could possibly be available if interested. It was changed just for the better look of the vehicle. Other extras included but not added to the car: Replacement interior carpeting still in box (original interior is fine but never hurts to have an extra down the road)Parade cover Set of manuals Colour correct dual sports mirrors Extra decals and trim pieces new and still in box or bagThe car was checked for safety & road worthiness in May of 2012 in which it was certified with no problems. The car has been licensed for the road each year driven sparingly and maintained since then and in much if not better shape since the certification. I have a copy of the certification should anyone need to take a look. Car is sold as is but runs well and as stated the body is in great condition. A very nice vehicleThis is a numbers matching car. As mentioned. it is nearly all original to the state of when it came off the shop floor just over 40 years ago. A piece of history. Thanks for taking a look. and if you have any questions drop me an email or a phone call.
