Relisting due to 2 bidders reaching and surpassing the reserve, then the excuses started.Traditional old school build. Dan Woods who built the Ice and Country Butcher trucks, inspired this build decades ago. Has the Dan Woods body and frame, as well as all his signature brass pieces. In amazing condition, and very driveable! Runs perfect! Stunning Jag rear with inboard disc brakes. Real knock off wire wheels. 350/350. Engine. 671 dummy blower with a 650 carb in the casing. Bugcatcher works with the linkage. Box behind the blower is custom that houses the gauges. Legendary Dan Woods body. Also has the Woods front side mounted shocks. Did some research. Spoke to Dan last week who we thought built it around 1982. Looks like it is an original John Burks build from Fantasy Engineering in SoCal. His builds were legendary as well, especially using original Dan Woods parts. There was an article on his shop and builds in Street Rodding Illustrated Winter 1984. Can't say enough about this car! Plenty of room inside. Flames buried under the clear. Encourage all bidders to come take a look and drive. All in all, an amazing piece of hotrod history that is incredibly preserved and functional!
