All Original Former Barn Find 1949 Ford 2-Dr Custom. Original Flathead V-8 with 3-speed on the Column. This 49 Shoebox sat for years backed under a shed. The sun baked off most of the paint on the hood. The rest of the original paint is Very Good for being 71 years old. The side stainless trim had a lot of door dings so I replaced all the stainless side molding with NOS stainless moldings. The car starts and runs Great and drives Good. It has new gas tank, Sending unit, Carb has been rebuilt, Brakes has been gone thru. It has the unusual front accessory bumper guard on the front. Good radial white wall tires, The clutch works fine but seems a little soft so a New In The Box clutch comes with it. Radio doesn't work and the wiper motor needs lubricated. The speedometer shows 16,178 miles on the car which I do not believe to be correct. I also don't believe the car has over a 100,000 miles. Speedometer works but needs recalibrated. There are 2 minor rust holes, One in the passenger side floor just in front of the seat and the other around the sending unit door in the trunk floor. These are about the size of a 50 cent piece. The rest of the car is Solid! There is a couple of wrinkles in the hood where I think it flew open once upon a time. Easy fix. This is an original Montana Car and we don't get must rust here. The upholstery is all original with the back seat having one tear. The front seat has a tear and a hole in the front seat. Let me know if you have any questions or need more pictures. Clear Montana title in my name. Must be paid for in 5 days after auction ends. Personal checks fine. Buyer responsible for shipping. No hurry on pickup as I have indoor space.
