Description of 1966 Ford Fairlane 500

After much hesitation, I've reluctantly decided to sell probably the nicest car I've owned to date. Up for grabs is a well cherished, entirely restored, and lovingly maintained 1966 Ford Fairlane 500. After owning the car for nearly 10 years, it's time for it to move on to the next caretaker as I have more cars than space at the moment.
This car is astunning example of an Americanmuscle car, in near showroom condition through and through. The 390 V8 was rebuilt roughly 5000 miles ago, at the same time all of the other mechanical components were entirely gone through and replaced or restored. The paint is a 10 out of 10. No real blemishes on the car to be found, not something that can be said for any other car I've owned. The pictures in this case don't even do the cars condition justice, please don'thesitate to come see for yourself. Upgrades include the rebuilt 390, an MSD ignition, power steering rebuilt, line locks, American racing wheels, upgraded blaupunktaudio system with tastefullychosen deck, Hurstshifter, high torque starter, trunk relocated battery box, fiberglass hood with scoop, disc brakes, additional tach and under dash mountedgauges (also done very tastefulas to not interrupt theotherwise perfect stock interior) The dash and upholstery are in mint original condition. The car comes with practically new tires, and full size spare. Keys for ignition match all other locks. All chrome work is in excellent shape and all badges are original and in great shape as well. All of the body lines on this car are laser straight. Window and door rubbers are all perfect. All electrical components work 100% and without intermittentissues since I've owned the car. From the moment you walk up to the car, to sitting in the interior, and the sound of the exhaust from the very second you hit the ignition, this car offers no excuses. I've gotten more attention in this car and won a number of cruise night awards over classics in the 6 figure space over the years than most can say. I will really miss the car but as mentioned with a number of classics and limited time and space, its time to move on to something else.
As these things go, some key points to make and understand before bidding. Given the age of the car and what it is, and of course the venue in which it’s being listed, I am offering this sale AS-IS, no warranties outside of my word on the items mentioned above, and no refunds of any kind once the deal is done. This said PLEASE ask any and all questions, come and see/inspect the car if you’re able, and get all of your own permissions/financing/space cleared in your garage BEFORE you bid. BUY IT NOW can be agreed on at $42K or upon discussion, so please reach out if this is of interest. The car is also going to be listed elsewhere and for sale locally, first to pay is the new owner. Otherwise, bid what you can afford to and are committed to pay, and we’ll see from there! PayPal for deposit is OK, the rest will have to be wire, cash, or certified bank check (PP Fees too high for full payment unless you want to cover them). Nothing gets handed over till funds clear. Pick up here at my storage facility in Worcester is expected within 5 business days of end of auction. Shipping is responsibility of the buyer, but I will of course do anything I can on my end to help get that sorted. I’ve both shipped a car home and away so I’m happy to lend my experience onto whomever might not have before to make it go smoothly. I have all the paperwork, clear/clean title, ready for new owner to register in their name etc, all will be sent certified mail once funds are cleared.

In closing, my reputation on here means A LOT to me, and my enthusiasm for these cars and the people that enjoy them is my favorite part of the hobby. If there is anything you’d like to know or share in regard to this stunning example of a 66 Fairlane, I’d love to chat. Please feel free to consider my feedback, and or speak with anyone that has purchased a car from me in the past if you have any concerns. Thanks again for the interest and good luck with the bidding :) Cheers, Tom
