The fifth generation Ford F series trucks was introduced in 1967, it was built on the same platform as the fourth generation F-series trucks. The fifth generation had sharper styling lines, a larger cab and greenhouse, and expanded engine options. Frames were beefier, and trimline and features were reorganized. The truck were extremely popular and helped cement Ford as a leading manufacturer in the light truck market. While discontinued in the US in 1972, the trucks were produced all over the world all the way until 1992.
