1955 Ford Thunderbird what an exciting year for Ford in 1955 with the introduction of the Ford Thunderbird FOMOCO had a formidable opponent the Corvette. The 2 seater V8 Convertible gave Corvette run for its money back then and outsold the popular Corvette by thousands over 16,000 T-Birds were purchased across the nation but Chevy only sold 700 Corvettes. Ushering a Rivalry over the next couple of years Ford forced Chevy to up its game. Only selling for 3 years before reintroducing itself as a larger 4 seat car the T-Bird left its mark in 55-56-and 57. These fun little cars still hold true as the most valuable of the bunch. This particular little 55 was the pride and joy of its owner and was commissioned to a full restoration in recent years before his passing. The vehicle was upgraded to the 312 V8 engine and Automatic, received a new card and intake, the vehicle is equipped with power brakes and a new radio. We are selling for the family and due to siting the car may require a fresh tune up. We have driven and it runs and drives well.
