Description of 1965 Ford Falcon Pro Touring |
This custom 1965 Ford Falcon Futura Restomod is nothing but great surprises from every angle. An awesome two-tone on the outside, a custom A/C interior, and a thumping high hp 427 V8 under the hood with a five-speed just scratches the surface one this terrific and speedy custom-built classic. Falcons are a great car to start with for a custom build because they are small in size, light in weight, but big in stature. And when you take a two-door like this and give it a slick custom attitude, it really brings out the best in the Ford's design. The Burnt Orange Metallic is an awesomely slick color that does a terrific job of really bringing out sporty elements, like the full-length spear shape that Ford stamped into the sheetmetal. Of course, it also helps that the restoration gives this super straight body panels and expertly shaved door handles. The Raven Black upper half pays tribute to a terrific classic Ford color while also emitting a high-gloss shine. The dividing line for these two colors is a silver pinstripe that goes great with the rest of the brightwork. There's plenty of polish with the wraparound chrome bumpers, new grille, and full trim package. Those OE Racing 17-inch wheels not only add to the polish, but also draw attention to the extra meaty rear rubber. But the performance detail we might just love the most is the hood scoop. It draws extra attention to the classic dip in the hood line, and at the same time, reminds us of a Mach 1 Mustang. Consignor claims over $40k in the work on this one, and the investment really shows right from the first impression! Inside, the black and orange continues, and there's some tasteful wood accenting on the dash and steering wheel. It even has all the right comfortable upgrades, like power windows, a cup holder center console, power steering, and cold-blowing air conditioning. And this also has a touchscreen AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth and custom subwoofer system. But this custom Falcon is far from a coddler. You know that the moment you spot the high-back racing seats with full harnesses. Other competition-worthy features include the toggle switch fuse panel on the dash, trunk-mounted battery (for better weight distribution), and the integrated racing cage. And that large backlit tach with shift light goes quite nicely with the Hurst shifter. Under the hood is a true beast. It's a 427 cubic-inch V8 by the masters at Bennett Racing. That means a fortified setup that includes aluminum TrickFlow heads, Comp Cam, cast valve covers, and an Edelbrock Super Victor intake. It inhales deeply with a Holey four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with authority as headers feeds a completion-style H-pipe dual exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers. The full package is rated at 629 horsepower, and we have the dyno sheet to prove it! Plus, this powerful motor is backed with all the right supporting components, like a March serpentine belt system, MSD ignition, and aluminum radiator with electric fans. You have full control over this monster motor and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the upgrade to a strong Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission. This feeds a stout Ford 9-inch rear. And because all this power is nothing without control, you have great features like tubular A-arm front suspension, four-link rear w/Panhard bar, adjustable coilovers, and four-wheel disc brakes. This is a seriously sweet custom build that's surprisingly affordable. So if you love to be memorable and powerful, don't miss this Falcon. Call today!!! |
