Description of 1967 Ford Mustang

Vintage Mustangs are cool cars all by themselves, but add more power, sizzling red paint, and a comfortable white vinyl interior, and suddenly a great car becomes very memorable. This incredibly clean 1967 Ford Mustang coupe features a strong 289 small block V8, factory air conditioning, great road manners, and a lot of vintage style that really separates it from its contemporaries. Take a closer look but do so quickly, because dialed-in '67 Ponies that looks this good never last long.
There's no avoiding that gorgeous Code T Candyapple Red paint job, and there's quite honestly nothing better than a red Mustang, regardless of the body style. A close inspection reveals few flaws, with outstanding prep and attention to detail and a shine that looks like a million bucks thanks to laser-straight sheetmetal underneath. The depth of the paint is impressive as well, and despite the paint job being a few years old, it still presents with a luster more indicative of a newer finish. Sure, it's no longer perfect, but if you're looking for a top driver-quality finish that will flat-out show-off at your local car show, well then you've found it. It's kind of nice to see that they resisted the usual urge to add stripes and hood scoops and spoilers, and instead let the clean coupe styling speak for itself. In addition, all the chrome and brightwork is quite nice on this car, including things like the door handles and individual surrounds for the triple-element taillights, a Mustang trademark from the beginning. Bright bumpers are the perfect punctuation to this neat pony, and you'll note that there are subtle cut-outs in the rear pan for the dual exhaust system.
Inside, a nearly spotless parchment bucket seat interior shows a restorer's touch - not a customizers wild imagination - something most Mustang fans will appreciate. The original gauges remain in place and keep an eye on the upgraded powerplant under the hood, and the clear lenses and bright markings indicate that no expense was spared on the restoration. The fat wood-rimmed steering wheel is the biggest modification inside, but it looks right in the vintage Ford's interior, and works in conjunction with power steering system to make it a pleasure to drive. Fresh seat covers, plush black carpets, a taut headliner, and matching door panels all add to the factory-fresh look, and the subtle combination will never, ever go out of style. The only other modifications are the removable center console with cup holders that splits the front seats, and the JVC AM/FM/CD stereo head unit fitted in the dash that powers the speakers throughout the passenger compartment. Oh, and I almost forgot: this car has factory A/C, a rather rare sight for 1967, and it's fully functional and blowing cold thanks to modern R134a refrigerant. Out back, the trunk is outfitted with a correct plaid mat and full-sized spare with a matching cover.
The great thing about Ford small blocks is that they make big power in a small package. The 289 cubic inch V8 under the hood is dressed to impress with a full Cobra-style dress-up kit, and you can see that they were careful to reproduce a period performance look with the chrome air cleaner and finned valve covers. Freshly rebuilt to mostly stock specs, it's friendly on the street with good torque, it's a great performer with a great V8 bellow at full throttle. An Edelbrock 4-barrel provides the go-juice while long-tube headers scavenge the exhaust gases and dump them through long-tube headers that feed a custom Flowmaster dual exhaust system. Power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes work with new shocks all around to make this vintage Mustang feel decades younger and the C4 3-speed automatic feeds an 8-inch rear which should have 2.79 factory gears inside, so it's actually pretty decent on the highway. Beautiful Torque Thrust "Old Style" wheels are what all the cool kids were using back-in-the-day and wear 225/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A white-letter radials that finish off the look perfectly.
Expertly restored and expertly maintained ever since, this pretty pony is a mild resto-mod that emphasizes the Mustang's strong points and drives superbly. Call today!
