1963 Galaxie 500 xl Q Code, ( THE RECENT HIGH BIDDER BACKED OUT SO I AM RELISTING MY GALAXIE ) here's the story. The original 427 engine and transmission was removed and replaced with a 390, then a few years later I acquired a good, running low hour 427, cross bolted, solid lifter, top oiler, marine engine and installed that with some of the 390 parts, manifolds, etc. It has a 4 speed toploader transmission and the original 4 pinion 3:50 rear. this car has some temporary patch panels on the body and has a temporary trunk pan as needed to make the car road worthy enough to pass New York State inspection, it starts right up,( It needs a good tune up ), yard drives and stops, it has some new parts installed including a new generator, starter solenoid, new brake lines, hoses and all the wheel cylinders, etc. There are some new and used parts included in the trunk along with the right fender molding. The e brake works and with some work it could be road worthy, but it needs a full restoration, we will have some 63 Galaxie parts available for sale, hoods, trunks, fenders, trim and some other parts if needed. It has rust patina on the hood and roof, it needs body work, new trunk pan, headliner and interior upholstery( some of the interior upholstery is mismatched as I tried to get the best seats to reupholster) I have not driven the car on the road in 10+ years but it has been insured and registered but t's been stored inside a dry garage. this is a very restorable project vehicle, supposedly only 1,038 of these Q code cars rolled off the assembly lines in 1963. The speedometer says 77750 but it is disconnected ( a new speedometer cable is in the trunk ) I will only accept cash or a wire transfer. Thank you and good luck.bidding.
