Beautiful Restored 1956 Ford Fairlane Town Sedan (1955 1956 1957 FOMOCO)

The 1956 Ford was not only built to be beautiful and perform well, but Ford was also heavily promoting their safety features that year. The "Double Grip Door Latches" to prevent doors opening in the event of a crash and the "Deep Dish Safety Design Steering Wheel" are examples of these Lifeguard Designs. The 1955-1956 Fords are now regarded as one of the most beautiful and collectible cars of the 1950s! Here we have a beautiful Fairlane Town Sedan that has been well loved by its past owners and was restored a few years back. Beautiful condition inside and out. Looks like almost like a new one from just a short distance! Drives/handles great too. This would be a very nice car for all your cruise night events, local car shows, or just own/drive for fun!

The rebuilt Y-Block V8 starts easy, runs very smooth, and makes great power. The transmission shifts and operates well at all speeds. It has newer A-frame bushings and a recent alignment, so it drives very straight down the road with no issues. The disc brakes also work very well and stop the car better than the original drum type. The electric wiper conversion and alternator conversion are another big plus for reliability and better driving.Overall, the car runs and drives excellent as a whole and is quite easy to drive.

The car looks great inside and out! The exterior paint is very shiny with no major flaws to speak of. All very good chrome and stainless is either very good original or has been re-chromed in the past. The interior is super nice just about everywhere you look. Engine bay and trunk are both detailed nicely. The doors, hood, trunk all open and close with ease and all body panels line up nicely. There are a couple of very minor flaws here or there, but the car presents itself VERY well. It's hard to find anything on this car that looks 64 years old! Overall, the caris nice enough to win a trophy at most of the informal car shows you attend.
