From our museum collection is this very rare and correctly restored 1968 Shelby GT350 Convertible! It has it's original numbers matching engine, transmission and rear end. It has 98k actual miles. It has a known and documented ownership history back to 1969. It was sold new at Schmidt Ford Sales in Baltimore, Maryland in February of 1968. It comes with it's original build sheets and a Deluxe Marti Report showing it's original build configuration. It also comes with it's original Shelby VIN apron tag, buck tag, dash VIN tag, door tag, carburetor tag, engine tag, transmission tag, rear end tag, steering box tag and the original Shelby glove box sticker. It was 1 of 404 convertibles made in 1968 and 1 of 214 four speed convertibles made. We purchased it from a long time local SAAC member and judge that had owned it since 1988. He restored it correctly and he has hundreds of photos of the restoration process and of the NOS parts used. He has included the photos, a detailed written history of the car and the restoration process which comes with the car. He had it painted white with blue stripes, at that time, because he liked that color combination. When we purchased it we stripped and completely repainted it, in our award winning in house restoration shop, to it's original Lime Gold. He also had the dash signed by Carroll Shelby himself at one of the SAAC meets and has a photo with Carroll when he signed it. We have had it displayed for many years in our museum and Shelby lovers that have seen it have truly enjoyed it. If you are looking for a correct and rare Shelby to add to your collection this is the car for you!!!
