1966 MUSTANG FASTBACK K CODE with SUPERCHARGER Selling my beautiful rare 1966 “K” code Mustang Fastback with a real Paxton Supercharger not a reproduction car. This is the real deal! The car is believed to have originated from the dealer in 1966 with the Paxton Supercharger. This was an extra option that you could get back in 1966. and very few Mustangs exist with this option. The Paxton Supercharger VIN number is S170312146 it was sold over the counter by Shelby in his parts catalog. which then was installed by the FORD dealership for the customer. Upon further research the Supercharger date of manufacture is 1966 according to its VIN. Back in 1966 the K code’s received the same engines as the Shelby’s GT350 the 289Hi-Po engine. Upon restoration the car was painted blue with white Shelby stripes and numerous Shelby parts. It is very hard to tell the difference between a real Shelby GT350. Many people have confused this for a real Shelby GT350. Lots of attention was placed into the car in order to have it restored with all the accurate Shelby components. Let alone this K code Fastback with supercharger is already rare as it is. The engine compartment is very clean and detailed which can be seen on the pictures taken. Has the correct K code heads numbered 19 including the dual point distributor and bigger harmonic balancer for the 289Hi-Po engine. The engine has been completely rebuilt including springs. roller rockers. valves. and all new components water pump. alternator. and belts. It has the cobra intake manifold. and upgraded carburetor kit with the Shelby Supercharger. The frame also has the air induction cut out whole for the supercharger. Mechanically the car is very sound. It has a 4 speed transmission with 9 inch Posi rear end and Disc brakes. What is special about the car is that very few K-codes rolled out of the assembly plant with power steering the first year (for K codes) this one is equipped with it. The car is very powerful and will spin out the tires! Interior: the car is super clean including a Shelby roll bar with harnesses. It has a Shelby wood steering wheel and wood shift knob. Has the correct gauges and Supercharger gauges. Carroll Shelby also singed the Mustang. All new upholstery. All doors. trunk. hood are all nicely aligned and close perfectly. Clean title.
