Description of 1965 Ford F-100 |
This is a very clean short bed pickup that has lived in California it's whole life. It has a recent low dollar paint job that looks good but not a show quality paint job. I would guess the paint job to be about 5 years old or so. The engine is a newer 300 CI straight six with a new fuel pump. it starts first time every time. the clutch is ready for replacement but is drivable as-is. The column shift linkage is worn and sloppy but again workable with a little practice. The synchro's in the transmission are smooth and in very good shape. The truck has newer tires with about 90% tread. The wheels are newer than 65 and has the original 65 hub caps adapted to the newer wheels. Clever idea really. The bed has an older brush-in owner applied bed liner and is very thin. I guarantee no rust in the bed floor under the coating. It appears it would be easy to remove. if desired. I have had many of these 61-66 trucks (and in fact still have two). I know where to look for rust and this truck has zero rust. I checked the cab mounts. front edges of hood. roof near drip rails. core support. inner fenders. wheel wells. etc. and certify they are all RUST FREE!The tailgate and bed floor are extremely straight. It does not appear to have been used as a truck ever!Brand new seat cover installed. and has the Ford logo embossed in the cover. exactly as original. |
