Description of 1951 Ford Victoria

1951 Ford Victoria in used condition. This car was bought at auction with a clear VA title. It has a Flathead V8 that can be turned with a wrench on the crank bolt. I put a 6 volt battery in and couldn’t get the starter to spin and don’t gave time to mess with starting the car any further. 1 headlight, taillight, and the rest interior lights came on when the battery was hooked up. The ignition is hanging down from the dash, so there may have been an issue getting power to the starter. The car has some rust in the typical shoebox places. The trunk will need replaced or patched, the lower quarters may need work as well other lower sheet metal. The passenger side fender by the headlight needs repaired or replaced. The frame looks solid but has a 1/4 steel plate welded from the front to rear tires on the bottom of the frame. No holes or rust other than surface rust is visible. The entire car including interior need a full restoration to be a shoe car, or with some effort this would make a cool patina cruiser. (Battery not included as I borrowed it from my 1931 Studebaker) The brakes were sticking when it was unloaded. I will try to free these up fully before pickup. The three whitewall tires hold air, and the rear black wall tire will hold air for a day or so and then go flat. It will hold enough for loading. The rear deck lid is from a 49/50 Ford car...the latches are different than 51. New holes could be drilled in the hinges to make it fit, but I will leave that up to the new owner in case they way to find a 1951 deck lid.

I will take a deposit via eBay, but want the remainder to be paid in cash in person. A single car trailer/rollback can get to where the car is located but no tractor trailer/transport truck. The car is sold as is and as shown. Pickup within 2 weeks.

I have many more pictures for serious buyers. Please message me and I will send more.

I have sold many antique cars on eBay. Every time I have given the buyer the option to walk away from the deal if they see the car in person and are not 100% satisfied that it has been represented honestly and accurately. No one has ever taken that option and has followed through with the deal once seeing the car in person. Bid with confidence knowing this. I have nothing to hide about this car. Ask any question.

Thanks for reading the whole listing and for your interest!!
