Vehicle Details Up for Auction is a 1971 Ford F-250 4x4. This is a factory F26 4x4 “Highboy.” This Highboy spent most of it’s life in the mid west and it shows. It is very solid and has minimal rust. It wears it’s original Mallard Green paint on the cab and front end while the bed was paint matched to the cab. The interior is mostly original with the exception of a new seat, carpet, and dash pad. The original 360 was removed and set aside for a built 390. The bottom end started with a good service block and has 9.5-1 compression. A crane Fireball Cam was installed along with double a row timing chain. C1AE-A heads were installed and are held down by ARP head studs. To top it off a 1967 Factory Aluminum 428 Police Interceptor intake was installed along with a new Holley 650 double pumper. All engine hardware is original ford except for the Arp head studs. The exhaust exits through a set of ceramic coated flowtech headers into a custom dual 2.5” to single 3” exhaust with a stainless Borla muffler. It sounds healthy but is not obnoxious. The NP435 transmission and Dana 24 transfer case were in good working order before being resealed and painted. The flywheel was resurfaced and a new clutch was installed. Steel Ford wheels were powder coated white and are wrapped in legendary 9.00 x 16 Power Kings. Included in the auction are original hubcaps along with a matching spare wheel and tire. Also included but not photographed is an air compressor that is powered by an accessory belt. The air compressor is in working order. Under the driver’s floor is a pressure tank and the air chuck can be seen under the driver’s seat. An air pressure garage is mounted on the bottom of the dash and works as well. This Highboy is still equipped with manual steering and manual brakes. It rides like a real truck especially with the power kings.
